I am hearing a lot about this "seal twisting" method doing top dps for ret pallies. I have no idea what it is please enlighten me =].

You can keep up a stack of Corruption/Vengeance while DPSing with Blood/Martyr. You lose more DPS by consuming 2 GCDs than you gain by keeping the stack active.
Thank you very much for not putting down a bunch of numbers. So basically:Originally Posted by harky

Aye, basically it's just keeping a stack up of the dot and switching to a higher dps on hit until the stack timer gets low then refresh stack and back to high dps.
It's pretty mana intensive but it's the best dps...and adds a little excitement to the mix instead of smashing Judgement, CS, and DS every CD.
ahhh cool, cool thx for the help. yea the mana shouldnt be that much of a problem with all our new tools
well in WoTLK its wont be as viable anymore with the haste rating
and with haste rating SoB/SoM dps is higher than when you try to seal twist
but for pvp its fun to do:
Bringing down a clothie into hammer range in one hit (white, SoC, SoB,SoB)
but its requires nerves of steel as timing needs to be exact.
so when you are playing like: OMG DIE JUST DIIIIEEEEEE! it wont work ^^
and you need to be lucky that your SoC triggers thats the only thing wich you dont control
Uh, tests have shown that SoV/C does a good 200 more DPS than SoB in starter 80 gear. Haste will bring SoB/M closer to SoV's damage, but it's still not going to do "more" DPS than a 5 stack of Vengeance/Corruption AND SoB/M running inbetween.Originally Posted by Val3rim
