What happened to Seal of Command

I've seen a few posts about pallys specs for raids and lvling with the new talents and i've noticed many people skipping Seal of Command in their builds. What happened to it and is it Blood/Martyr much better?

For all but PvP, Blood/Martyr is better. Seal of Casino needs to die in my opinion.

LOL I think quite the opposite... I think Seal of Blood/Martyr should die. A talented seal should always be a better choice then a gimme.

funny that the name hides a less on demand ability .

Seal of Command , even glyphed , in my experience procs insufficiently to be considered for anything but pvp . Thus , i have better use for a point to enhance my dps .

Your swings doing ~300 more damage vs a 700-800 proc (it still might not be seen after 5 swings >_<) . Its obvious which is better

well, my opinion is still that Seal of Command is a lot better, get your base crit up over 30 helps you alot, Seal of blood stinks, betther off with imp SoR that with that shitty seal. SoC wtf.

That is true, of course. But I feel our 11 pointer should be changed to something useful...

    Hand of Reckoning
    30 second cooldown.
    9% base mana

The target's next 4 weapon swings will generate an additional attack.

OP? Maybe. But at least it's interesting.

Blood just scales much better, even though Command does scale with haste now. It's still the best PVP seal, though.

By eliminating Seal of Command we reduce our burst. Stop trolling a class forum you know nothing about.

I claim that I got a lap dance from Megan Fox, but we all know that isn't true either.

The burst from Seal of Command in beta comes from it procing off of multiple instant strikes. If we eliminate this Seal and replace it with extra auto swings, we will reduce our burst greatly and replace it with reliability. Everyone is happy.

Re: What happened to Seal of Command

My crit is over 30% and that bastard procs all the time, to the point I don't see Martyr doing better than it. But I do think it's funny that when Horde got vengeance they buffed and when alliance got blood they nerfed it.

If you are disagreeing with something you should provide a counter argument or a better suggestion. The automatic nahsaying of anything anyone else suggests IS trolling and does not add anything to the conversation.

On the topic of the post, I think that the nerfs to SoC have brought the burstiness down significantly. They could even nerf the Co-ef more and increase the proc rate to make it more viable in PVE. I really don't like the idea of having to use SoB/M in PVE just "because". Having 2 seals that do essentially the same thing is lame.

Havn't realy used other seals for dps than SoC, cos the other seal realy suxx, yeah its random and yes it ahve been nerfed, but anyway, got my base over 30%, and when the first proc comes so does my crit procs from mongoose and then its on the lose *bam**bam* dead. Seal of blood is useless, just another version of seal of Rightueness(bad spelling i know:P )

Then you don't see it for 5 swings.. and your judgement's are not as strong.

That's kind of superficial. Taking neglect-able (in pve) damage from martyr will give you back mana . Even more sustainability .
For arena soc is nice to see "the big numbers" . SoC in my opinion should be scaled a little more with wep damage( 5-10 % ) and really there's nothing else to fix about dps . But given almost every ability scales with gear and the changes have been made with wlk in mind we might see high damage from seals afterall

Re: What happened to Seal of Command

the fact that SoComm can proc off DS and CS is really nice and actually in my testing turns out to be about the same dps as SoB and actually does more total dmg than SoB thus seeming like blizzard normalised this on purpose so that you do the same amount of dmg with both seals, you juts chose to sacrifice health for your dmg if you use SoB. For 1 tallent point and the changes to what it is now and how SoComm is on live atm, i welcome the changes.

Re: What happened to Seal of Command

The "it's only one talent point" arguement is one I hate to see people use. It doesn't matter is a one, five, or twenty point investment - if it's not worth the investment, it's a blatant waste of points that could be better spent maximising yourself with other talents in the tree. Personally, I won't be putting a point into Seal of Command. I feel that, even assuming it was a minor DPS increase over Seal of Blood (which I can assure you it isn't when you consider Judgement damage), I know I could increase my DPS more by spending that talent point in another talent which increased my overall DPS, rather than an extra seal that needed to use a Glyph slot up to even compare to the other seals.

Waste of a point in my honest opinion. You lose a Glyph slot on a seal that can easily be replaced by one we get as baseline.

Re: What happened to Seal of Command

I want to see how Righteousness scales with AP. My guess is it would obviously be behind the others, but as they all scale with AP (and haste) SoR could put out decent damage.

Keep in mind SoC is the only damage seal not affected by Seals of the Pure.
