    Twin Disciplines

What shadow spells receive the +5% damage bonus from this?

I know SW: Death but I wasnt sure if SW:Pain, Devouring Plague, or Mind Sear benefit from this

Looking for a good PVP spec for 80, debating if its worth going at all into Disc if that is only 1 spell or if I should just grab Spell Warding and Desperate Prayer

Sw death will be affected indeed. not sure about our instant dots (i should assume it works) and mind seer wont be affected seeing its not an instant spell but channeled, same as mind flay.

sw:d, sw, devouring plague, mindflay and mind sear

    Re: Twin Disciplines

One person says Mind Flay/Sear benefit, one says they don't, can I get a third opinion?

Or instead of an opinion a fact?

Not sure on the shadow side, but do we know if PW:S is affected by the 5%?

    Re: Twin Disciplines

It stats that only instant cast spells receive the benefit. Check your spell book and you'll see that includes Shadow Word: Pain, Devouring Plague, Shadow Word: Death, Prayer of Mending, Renew... etc...

Mind Flay and Mind Sear when you check in your spell book are listed as channeled. This means they should not receive the 5%.

Channeled spells are for some wierd reason also instant cast.
    "Only Jack can zip up."
The word you want to use is "have" not "of".
You may have alot of stuff in your country, but we got Lolland.

Vampiric Embrace....and when talented by 2 in Imp VE we should see a total of 30%

    healed by shadow damage.

Surprised not a single person in this thread never mentioned VE.

It'll be interesting to see if the 15% threat reduction now built into shadowform will be
able to handle it alone...my guess is no, and you'll still need affinity times 3 if you plan
going 2 points in Imp VE.

Twin Dis is also a reason to not get any Imp VE talents as you are getting 5% for free imo.

It's not a damaging or direct healing spell. It shouldn't be affected (VE that is).

Vampiric embrace does no damage. As healing it transfers a flat percentage, the amount is unaffected by +heal as far as I know.

I do not understand what you were trying to say?

you mean to say you start channeling instantly?? nowai.. cant be right!

to you nonbelievers, take as many talents and whatnot as you want (facemelt for example), then go in disc, take twin disciplines and see if things change, numbers might not change with taking the talents, but if you take mental agility (instant cast spells mana reduction) all instant cast spells will reduce in mana cost.

Twin Disciplines: Increases the damage and healing done by your *instant* spells by 1/2/3/4/5%.

I wouldn't classify channeling, e.g. Mind Flay, as instant to be honest.

If it boosts the healing of Penance (which is channeled), then it boosts Mind Flay. And I know it boosts the healing of Penance. There ya go.
