Best Rogue talent build for pve..

Everyone knows, and if you disagree, go level a rogue.

That combat is the best build for a rogue/pve.

I have played Rogue for like 2years (Play hunter now) and my first impresson was OMG!
You sad it was a pvespecc? First of all, remove:
1. Improved Gouge
2. Putt 2p in Improve SnD
3. Remove Deflection + Riposte
4. Get full on Aggression
5. Remove Improved kick
6. Put full in what-ever-weapon-talent u gonna use (i love sword spec)
7. Get Bladflurry for AoE + Weapon expertise
8. putt full in Nerves of steel

you know what, i actually had originally intended to just glance over it and go, but after your overly arrogant opening statement, and your hilariously terribad talent spec, i got a good enough laugh i guess ill throw a few pointers in there. first off, deflection/riposte, improved sprint, improved kick, improved gouge, endurance. unfair advantage. PvE build. not good. m'kay?

secondly, no relentless strikes. lay off the crack.

lastly. no improved slice and dice, no weapon specialization. pve build. put those in

I agree the gouge, deflection and riposte is wanted cause its instant, never, ever put full in any weapon skill, thats stupid, dont put nerves of steel, thats pvp, everything else is ok, kick is needed for the pve casters. ill improve it, hold on. BTW, ive played rogue for 4 years.

What they said. Riposte is godly for leveling, makes soloing tough mobs a lot easier with a macro like:

/startattack
/castrandom Sinister Strike, Riposte

But as for end game, its completely useless when you have a tank, and aren't doing the tanking yourself.

Wrong, they're all good, I've played with some of the best rogues in the game, and I have played for 4 years as a rogue, and I know what a rogue needs, and everything about a rogue, and the slice and dice was a mistake, my bad.

Unless you have an absolute idea of every item your going to get thats that weapon, then by all means, get it, and replace something that you wont need as much. Please, dont be iggnorant..

What's up with the mutilate? That sucks for pve from what i've seen, and tested. I was mutilate, and i ahd really good daggers, it sucked compared to my old combat spec.

Agreed, that would be the optimal raid dps for swords.

Edit: Unless Killing Spree really sucks, never tried it on PTR, in which case you could just toss that into Vile Poisons or something.

Personally, I wouldn't put the two points in improved SnD since you can easily refreash it in the 20 seconds with an envenom.

Edit again: Hm, would also probably put points into Puncturing Wounds, taking the points out of Blood Splatter and one out of Turn the Tables since Rupture isn't used in Muti rotations.

In my testing and other rogues testing, Mutilate is beating out combat by somewhere between 2-5%.

Also, to the spec posted by Physics:

Why 5 points in Lethality over 3 points in Lethality and 2 in Opportunity? 20% Mutilate damage over 12% more damage on all combo moves seems like a no brainer to me.
