    BS Vs. Inscription

Ok so I will be re-rolling a Dk like many people will be once wrath hits. I just one major concern, which combo of professions will be ultimately better for my DK. Mining/BS or Herb/inscription. I have read many forums posts saying that both professions are fine, but I just cant make up my mind. I thought i had it figured out but then they took out the Extra major glyph for inscribers and now I am where I started. I understand that BS gets excellent BOP weapons, I just haven't seen any of them yet to make my decision, and the fact they get extra sockets which is awesome to say the least.

So I guess I am asking you the MMO-champion community of what profession you would recommend i choose and why?

P.S. Thank you for reading and I appreciate your feed back.

probably blacksmithing, especially if your pvp. you can put sockets in your items, and since there is no pure HP gear anymore (arena points required) you can make yourself some resilience gear so you wont be at a massive disadvantage
    Yeah, its a Hemmy.

    Re: BS Vs. Inscription

It's probably better to wait till WotLK is near release before deciding, since there's so much missing information on a lot of professions it's hard to gauge a decision yet.

For example, with Blacksmithing we currently don't know what armor items we can place gem sockets on, or what the specialisation (Hammersmith, Armorsmith etc.) weapons and armor are going to be. Heck we don't even know if we're getting any sharpening/weightstones yet.

If you really must make a decision now though, I'd probably say Blacksmithing if you are going to be a Deathknight. Most of the Inscription items are primarily commercial (all glyphs are sellable for example), and the only self-only items that are any use to you will be the shoulder enchants, since the only other self-only items that you can make are off-hand books (useless to deathknights) and Darkmoon cards (only good for levelling standard classes).

You make a good point. I guess waiting a bit longer wont hurt to much, gonna need to start buying ore or herbs in the near future though lol

Blacksmiths can add a socket to their own bracers and gloves, and sell boe sockets to everyones belts.

And I thought I saw a sharpening stone out there..... but I cant find it...

While im sure it is not 100% accurate it is probably pretty close.
