Erm... nope. They have said the opposite on numerous occasions.
btw every QQ post I see on us forums mention HoJ on 20 sec cd. Imp HoJ requires 18 points in prot so nobody is taking it at 70 and if they do, they dont have divine storm. So I think people just QQ without even trying to understand why and how they get owned.
Agree with that. Some QQ people just assume ret will get this, ret will get that. All the rets will ahve a 20 sec HoJ with 7 second duration right? I personally am not planning on getting 18 into the prot tree jsut to et a lower CD for HoJ. I would much rather focus on my direct damage out put. People who wants to get that Imp HoJ will, at the same time, have to sacrifice their ret tree, thus their driect damage out put, to a certain extent.Originally Posted by Brox
Please dont just look at the talents/spell and say "oh you can get this, you can get that. You can have almost everything. Thats unfair!" The truth is, if we get this, we possibly cant get that.
Retribution paladins arent fine, in my opinion, still have some issues, at 70 using level 80 abilities the tunning cant for sure be accurate, they sometimes, i repeat sometimes, output a big burst damage and on other moments just plain damage below some other dps classes.
The real, PvE wise, problem is that retribution paladins cant really control the damage they return, living on procs and bursts, at 80 will be the same, damage a bit bigger due to gear and rised stats, but on sub-par with alot other classes.
Paladins retribution need to be tunned, not down or upped, in order to control better they PvE fights and be able to "compete" with other dps classes on the new cap level.
Nerfing isnt the word, Tunning it is, spike damage isnt the thing in PvE, sustained hig damage it is, this is, in my opinion, the real problem.
PvP wise, they are alot better, all classes PvP specced can from time to time burn an opponent down, seen mages pyro a 10K hp warrior from 100 to 0 on one blast, and seen Warrior melt mail users in the intercept stun (3 seconds) form 100 to 0. PvP is all burst fast damage, PvE is sustained damage, and it is in this picture that retribution paladins need improvements, not nerfs.

You want flowing, steady and predictable Damage? Then please, for gods sake, use SoB/SoM.
Although it is well writen, passing very well the message in simple and funny way, remeber your "raid spot" is still in danger, your burst uncontrolled damage can make retribution paladins skyhigh in threat from one momento to another, giving no chance to the tank to uphold that situation, may drive to a wipe.Originally Posted by Vertue
If your aim is solelly PvP then its fine, burst and quickness are kings in PvP, if you also think on PvE, you better checkout some ways to refine your damage and playstyles and give blizzard some accurate feedback on how to improve that area.

Ahh, so we have a "DPS Tree" to roll lolDPS?Originally Posted by Kaij

I heared these stupid arguments way too often now.
If in your eyes, we should be a supporting loldps DD then tell that to all those Shamans too.
Go bullshit elsewhere.
Ya.................nerf ret pallies woot woot.....only if you nerf frost mages. pvp warriors, disc priest, feral druids.
Frost mage and a pvp warrior can roll a ret pally. Disc priest will NEVER die. and feral druids pfft.
People say ret pallies are op (maybe?) but what about bc rogues. You cant tell me they werent op at all. What class could roll a decent rogue? I play one so i know what im talking about.
