PVE build for a Holy Pally

    Hello,

Just wondering what build could be the best for a raiding holy pally.

    - The first one I came up with (Benediction for Holy Shock and Judgements, Imp BoM and Heart of the Crusader for better buffs, and Conviction for more spell crit XD)
    http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?pala...00000000000000

    - The second one I came up with (Pretty much getting Divine Guardian and Imp Devotion Aura, not sure if these are worth it tho)
    http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?pala...00000000000000

I'll see if I can get another build, but seems like there isn't much where to choose from hehe.

    Cheers,

    Daenor

    Probably what I'd do.

    Wont be doing kings.

I am not so hot on imp Conc aura PvE-wise. Might reconsider if I see a lot and and troublesome AoE interrupts. Also, Daenor, why not Aura Mastery?

Lol sillies, holy paladins don't do PvE DPS :P. Wait for blizz to buff you before making decisions lol.

Re: PVE build for a Holy Pally

These are the specs I'm currently playing around with. There are a few points you could move around for personal tastes.

Raid/Backup Healer - used with FoL glyph for HoT raid healing
    http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sxA0gMzhVuMxoZacbNfuM

    Main points:
4 min divine shield with a 30% raid wide reduction of damage,
    Improved devotion aura,
    kings
BoSanctuary if for some reason you don't have a prot pally in the makeup.
Retains all spell power and healing ability.

    Holy PvP
    http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sxAbxhzhVuG0RZacbIfuM

Included mainly because i had it handy.
Bacon is subject to being dispelled so I've opted to go for damage reduction abilities in the prot side and survivability. Stun and fear resists, along with the ability to reduce the damage taken by your team members when you bubble. Still vulnerable to mass dispel, but the stoicism should help to keep some of those buffs up.

    Tank Healing/single target/Bacon!/Ret
    http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sxA0gGzhVuMxRtZVcbx0b

This is the spec i'm currently using. It allows high spell crit from the ret tree for mana efficency. It also includes improved BoW and BoM for buffing. I would NOT want to use the FoL glyph with this build, since this specialized in single target/dual target healing with BoL.

    Tank Healing/single target/Bacon/Prot
    http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sxA0gMzhVuMeRtacbVb

Gives Kings/improved wisdom/Spell haste from the JoP while also providing the 5 min 30% reduction to raid damage. Its missing the pop of the crit from Ret and the reduced instant casts. I could see this being used especially higher down the road when our gear starts giving more crit then it does currently. The question comes down to weather the loss of that much crit is offset by the damage reduction potential.

Wow. Good lucking healing heroics with any of those builds. Those are pretty terribad, except maybe for PvP (this thread is for PvE builds btw)

Imp Conc Aura is for PvP, unless there is some huge wave of encounters which involve silence. I put those 1 of those 3 points into 1/5 BoK to appease Warriors in 5 mans, or when there is a Prot / Ret pally in the group that can fill in some of my standard blessings. The other 2 points went into Imp LoH which I've found to be pretty useful, and the reduced CD is nice.

    Improved judgements for PVE holy?

You wont be judging every cooldown as it is, why lower the cd?

Imp loh vs imp conc is a situational choice, id say with imp loh being better for Brutallus type fights and conc better for RoS/Non brutallus sunwell type fights.

There are already many bosses that silence in heroics, so yes, improved concentration aura is a must at least for 1 pala in raid.
Improved judgements are just to help getting into the retribution tree, in case that there are enough ppl in raid that have improved blessing of might. I anyway go with kings no matter what. Holy specs can have 2 spear points anyway, so that I can chose improved wisdom or improved might if needed in raid.

Re: PVE build for a Holy Pally

Well to be honest I can't think of more than a couple fights that silence (I haven't done OK or AN on heroic), but that at least got me thinking about the value of other talents in the Holy tree. Keeping 18 points into the Retribution tree, you could take 4 points out of Imp BoW, Imp LoH, and 1/5 Kings and pick up Imp Conc and Unyeilding Faith, which would reduce the duration of all Silence, Interrupt, Fear, and Disorient effects by 30%. 3 points just for Silence and Interrupt really seems like a waste to me, but the ability to have reduced 'downtime' for every effect except for stun (Prot tree) is pretty awesome.

Dropping 3 points from Retribution (Sanctified Seals) would then go into Sacred Cleansing. This move I'm not so sure about, since I'm not spamming cleanse on just 1 person on any encounter I can remember. The 30% chance for only a 30% increase is pretty weak for 3 points. Anyway, it is still up to the persons play style as to where some points get put. I just prefer a passive 3% crit on all my spells rather than a 30% silence and interrupt reduction on a small number of encounters.
