Its so much fun as a mage to walk up to the bridge in AV and blast a bunch of people off the bridge....I dont care if I kill them or not, it just pisses them off..

Mind Control has a rather long casting time, a short "leash", can easily be interrupted as a channeled spell, and it can be removed by WotF/EMFH/trinket.

For stuff like Thunderstorm all you have to do is stand next to your victim and yell PIKAAA.

Damn now I have to make that macro.
Being a druid I'll have a lot of fun doing that in WSG. Defend the flag at the gy, roof or above the tunnel entrance, anyone coming near gets to walk back for a few minutes.
(TBH I don't know anything more fun than WSG as a druid.)

Hehe, I did get knocked back off the cliff at LM, barely survived in cat, and got the Going Down achievement. Thank you Mr. Shaman =) Next time I'll avoid the cliff and use charge, hehe...

I bet it doesnt. Knock backs were a no no only because back pre BC BGs were the serious pvp. and they didnt know how serious arena would be in TBC so they were still looking at BGs as serious. Now we all know BGs are fun past times and nothing more, and knockback effect in arena are no where near as devastating as cliff toss BGs.

You get toss of a cliff in BG you rezz 1-30 sec later and go back up there and hope you get the fun flying lessons again.

Bg's are still serious PvP for some of us. Arena is the joke. anyway knock back attacks are needed for elemental shaman to survive. Honestly it's also the only thing they have to look forward too..

There was that mage on AV going up the tower to take it back, typhooned it without thinking about the nockback and loled.

The first time I got typhoon'ed I wondered WTF just happened.

The second time I figured it out and LOL'ed.

The third time just pissed me right off.

I love going to recap towers in AV now

step 1 use gift of naaru
step 2 run into the tower drop poison cleansing and grounding totems + elemental if its up
step 3 lure the horde to the outer rim of the bunker (they'll all follow you especially dagger rogues)
step 4 turn your back to the dropoff
step 5 EM + TS
step 6 go recap the tower

You can also spellreflect the shaman knockback thingie... I don't really know why but it works and it is fun to watch a shaman send themself flying of a cliff swooooooooooooooooooooooooosh weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I've yet to die from a knockback effect but there was a good one where an ele shaman knocked me from East Frostwolf tower down into the area way below.

The only thing that really kept me going through farming Honour / Bades in AV on my disc priest months ago was solo defending towers by screaming and MC'ing hordies off of the top of the top 1 by 1, watching them run back up, and doing it all over again....
