    Priest Molten Core quest?

SO, recently i had the job of looting the eye, and quickly farmed the other half. But to my despair the quest itself is nearly impossible at 70/80 because of down ranking no longer being an option, and full rank spell eat mana like nothing

has any1 been able to complete this lately?

Umm.. why would you do that quests for the priest even though it's not needed anymore. Unless you want to look cool with level 60 staff.

because back in the day i was a hunter and i would ALWAYS put down priests when they said that the quest was hard, now i want to see how hard it is compared to the hunter one, and so far hunters scale with gear and this priest one just goes rock bottom

Yes! I actually completed it a few days ago.

Here's what to do, you'll first of all, need to respec into a very special build:

    http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bVcbkhxtbZfxx0f0qi

The idea is simple, it's a build that gives you maximum regen.

Use renew whenever possible, and just flash heals. Bring regen oils, regen food and ofcource, a mana potion. Potion sickness applies here as well.

You got holy nova, use it on the skeletons. Also remember to use Cure Disease on those who needs curing.

I usually play shadowpriest, but I had to respec into this build to do it, it was simply impossible as shadow.

You'll likely need 1-3 attemps, but no worries, that's nothing to be a shame off.

Good luck and enjoy your staff!

there's more to this game than welfare gear. lots of people are doing pre-bc stuff lately. my realm did weekly naxx pugs for almost 4 months til patch day. lots of people got T3 gear, and 2 mages completed the staff of atiesh

No!, you cannot get others to help you !

And AoEing is easy , a single holy nova kills the skeletons at level 70.

I did this quest about two or three years ago dont remember, so i dont know if this is of any use still but at that time many priests also used a kind of potion where you would get the immulate aoe around you. Dont know how its called prob fire-something.

Yes, in the old days you would use [item=8956] because Holy Nova wouldn't be enough.

But that's not nessary today, I promise you that. It's waste of time and concentration to use them.

i also encountered this problem when i (finally) got both eyes, the same applied to my friend, it took us 2 tries and one respec each in order to complete this quest.

Our (or should i say mine) spec was something like this
    http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bVubzGxtrxoVfMzbhx
i spec'd that spec only because of that quest

I found the 15% more Spirit from Spirit of Redemption more usefull than a full Disciplin build, but the idea is the same, to utilitize all the healing from Disciplin, since we don't really need the Holy talents for anything at level 70.

A friend can help, just by downing oils of immolation and standing still. I imagine a prot warrior(damage shield), paladin(ret aura), or druid(thorns) would make the best choice.
Actually, Mr. Lennon, I CAN imagine a world with no hatred, religion, war, or violence.
I can also imagine attacking such a world, because they would never see it coming.

I'd still like to point out that killing the skeletons is the LEAST of it.
The problem is not going OOM when healing.

Also for the mage above, /shoo, you probably got it as level 70

That's true, but they're still helping. It saves you on some holy novas, for instance.

Not really, as you won't gain aggro as level 70, thus they are unlikely to hit the skeletons
