Nymh or Athene, who do you think got it in spirit?

allot of us seem to be in disagreement over what is/is not an exploit in WOW.

for the record:
-athene and co. did not have any extra players inside the instance.
-Nymh and athene both used a mob tagging method.
-Regardless of the morality issues surrounding who won in spirit, Nymh was the actual first 80 in Wotlk.

Personally i dont see how athene and co exploited the game, as they did not abuse any bugs/unintended game functions.

but you all know what i think, let me know your thoughts!

since it's about spirit, nymh by far. besides an outside healer (no extra dps or w/e) it was done alone.
And since we can write off the role of referee to blizz in this case (wether the ban was justified or not) and they disqualified athene it's a fair win as well.

Silly question, but how did Athene level? I know the principles of mob tagging but he were in a instance, atleast during the ban video.

Mob tagging is wrong. He himself is not doing all the killing.

He is with 5 players. He de groups and gets the 1 min warning. Inside the 1 min he attacks a couple of packs of Elites and his friends kill em for him. But as he was not in the group he get all the XP of an Elite kill to himself. They then reinvite him before the 60 seconds runs out and they repeat.

The other way is suspect but at least the leveler does all the killing just has a healer with him to keep him alive.
Athene is exploiting and that is cheating.

I'm the worlds first. That is, worlds first in enjoying the leveling environment it seems. Nice for the person that's worlds first on 80 but as I see it they just skipped a very big part of the game. A part where Blizzard probably spend allot of time in, which makes it a part you pay money for too. Kinda lame people only focus on becomming lvl 80 to raid for epics.

I'm slowly leveling, enjoying and soaking up as much content as possible, and so far, I'm loving it.
The environment is amazing and I love the quests.
GG to the worlds first level 80, but in my eyes, it's not that important, and surely he feels like he's missed out on a huge amount of content...

Ban Unjustified, Nyhm wins
Ban Justified, Athene wins

Neither Deserve it in the *Spirit*, should be first PERSON. Not first head of group.

This is all about 1 person getting credit for 5 peoples work. Could Athene kill those mobs solo? I doubt it. If he could kill those elites solo, but do it faster with an out of group healer... I might give him a chance... but not simply exploiting to get 5 peoples exp by himself.

Nyhm? Seems like he *COULD* have done that area solo - with more downtime without a healer. I think that he's more in the clear... but the exp should have been split between the two for it to be and HONEST world first.

they can use alts to get that enjoyment too...and they wont get epix till the Rest of people get 80 as well :<

mob tagging isnt right or wrong, and it was employed by both of them, you argue that Nymh 'could' have killed the mobs by himself and that makes it ok. but unfortunately he 'was' mob tagging not killing them by himself, so your point is redundant. nether party could have achieved the time they got without help.

and lastly you say "Athene is exploiting and that is cheating." but really there was no exploitation of game mechanics, you could argue that the tactics where unsavory and secretive, and therefor it was not your preferred style of competition. but really there is no proof yet so far that they did anything other than sit in a spot where mobs constantly spawn and invite/kick spam.
