Content cleared and people stop logging in

My guild cleared the 25 man content for the week and we could not get enough people to log in for two 10 man naxx runs tonight. Tonight is a regular 25 man raiding night for the guild.

Next week we will most likely clear all content in 1 night instead of 2. The xpac was released less than a month ago and people seem to already be too bored to log in. Has anyone else noticed this?

You should have taken it easy amigo. Take it easy and very slowly.
You may now kiss the ring.

There's no way to take it easy and slowly enough without them blowing through it. The content's that easy for any half decent group.

It's just a testament to the fact that some people just are unfit and don't have the constitutions to raid even when everything's streamlined for them. If they can't deal with a little easiness for a bit to wait through, imagine what'll happen if they hit an encounter they have actual trouble with.

That's about the time "real life" suddenly becomes a major deal and more important to them. Eventually they will pull the old "want to focus on real life for a while" and make a big post full of bs sentiment and a whole lot of yawn material. Some time later they're back again.

It's 2 weeks from Christmas... why the fuck would you want to log onto WoW and waste more time if you've already cleared your content for the week? This is the part of year where you see half of your people stop logging in. Be it from travelling, visiting family, the holidays in general or this is the part of year where school/univeristy work pushes out the "finals" crunch.

cant blame the serious raiders for blizzard tailoring the game for the majority. i for 1 have been really dissapointed with lich king so far but am hoping blizzard does what they say and make ulduar a challenge. there is no fun if things are just handed to you on a plate.

You sound like you may have a bit of a chip on your shoulder. You also couldn't be more wrong by saying "imagine what'll happen if they hit an encounter they have actual trouble with".

This is the same guild that had people lined up sitting outside Sunwell waiting for someone to dc so they could get a spot. Everyone showed up when the content was hard.

Oh, my bad. Your people aren't being carried, your people are just impatient.

Or the equally good explanation given that it's around the holidays and finals week for many.

    100% correct.

'Acheivements' are meaningless and just a way for Blizzard to milk

Who cares if you get slighty more loot and a Drake, when absolutely ANYONE with a functioning brainstem can get handed the same loot by screwing around for 20min in a random PUG?

...So you're bitching about content not being hard enough while ignoring the harder part of the content? Also, ilvl 226 drops aren't "the same" as other shit you can pug. That's like skipping optional bosses just because they aren't required to kill an end boss, even if they're harder. "I WANT MORE FOOD ON MY PLATE EVEN THOUGH I STILL HAVE STEAK LEFT, WAAAAAH."

Well we finally cleared the content today by killing Malygos, but after we went to Sartharion to kill him with 1 add. It was quite easy, but fun anyway, that's why we will try him next week with 2 adds. I still think it makes a lot of fun to see the same bosses on a different difficulty level. Naxx gets indeed very boring though.

wtf, if you think content is easy. Disband guild and go to small causals guilds that are evolving right now, you wont find the content that easy..

and besides that unequip all you epics and start the content with quest greenies instead of sunwell gear+wotlk heroic epics...ok? if you do it in 1 night come here and continue QQ.

Its easy of course, but the difficulty is different for hardcore Sunwell guild and small guilds with people who got girlfriend, family and work, football game in the evening etc...some things to do first before wow and can't log in to the game for 10 hours to clear the content in 1 night...

p.s. but still pays same amount of money as you.

Re: Content cleared and people stop logging in

I'm gonna go with the holiday season answer.

Besides, maybe the game should be easy... so that you spend more time outside... in the sun, with family and friends? Maybe work a few extra hours at work, increase the size of that paycheck... spend some money on a nicer car, nicer computer, take your significant other out for a nice time that doesn't involve hot pockets and a headset.

WoW was, is, and always will be tailored to the masses, that's why it's successful. Want difficulty? Go play Final Fantasy XI, where the grind from 1 to max level takes months on end of the most boring sort of grinding. Fighting the same enemies you fought at level 1 because they're the easiest, using a character set up that everyone else uses, because there's only one right way to do each class. Using exactly the correct gear for your level/class because it's the best there is, and nobody else in the game will take you into their party without the absolute best for your level. Make a mistake? Doze off at your keyboard as you mind-numbingly mash macros to destroy a crab that is for some reason the single best investment of your time for the next 40 hours of gameplay until you level again? Guess what, you lost at bare minimum a day's worth of work.

When WoW came out, FFXI took a nose dive. For a reason. If a game is so hard that your social life suffers, then it's not worth playing. Some of us would prefer to be able to play the game designed around people who might not have 10 hours a night to commit to it. If you want that level of intensity, there are other games out there designed for you. Please don't ruin this one.

Well first of all, don't punish anyone for not playing a video game. Secondly don't punish anyone for not playing something they have "beaten" so far.

Now, to address this issue tell them that you'll only be running 10 mans and taking the very best people. If they complain tell them they are welcome to form their own group or try and pug the 25 versions but if you need them down the road they might be looked over. This will weed out any loot whores and dusters who just want to be carried through everything.

Or you can take the mellow version and just keep going along with business. I dunno, just a suggestion.

Yea, you guys are douchebags. I mean, you don't even have the patience to log onto a game day to day waiting for "harder content" that was supposedly promised and will maybe come out in half a year or so.

    /rolleyes

LOL...this really is the weakest, lamest cop-out possible.

We shouldn't have to artificially increase the difficulty to compensate for the game simply being TOO EASY.

Even if we do down bosses with naked and standing on our heads, the bosses still drop the same loot that any clueless retard can get handed them for facerolling in some random PUG.
