Sarth 10 + 3 Drakes without 3 tanks

Has it been done without multiple cooldowns being used to eat breaths, if a third tank isn't available?

The only video I've seen of it so far is Method, and they used a cooldown rotation, including tank swapping, to survive his breaths. Bear Wall, Hand of Sacrifice, Hand of Sacrifice, Warrior taunts and Shield Walls, then Druid taunts it back, and I stopped watching at that point. I've heard their DK also taunted once and popped Icebound Fortitude to eat a breath.

It would be viable to just take every portal and kill the disciples if there were 3 tanks, but unfortunately the DPS required to not have three drakes up at any one instant is extremely high (and unreachable without a stacked melee/hunter group, due to casters being unable to DPS while moving/coincidental AoE). Even with two drakes on one tank, taking portals before Tenebron is down is pretty dangerous, due to gibs by double breath since you're only leaving one healer for each tank outside.

Re: Sarth 10 + 3 Drakes without 3 tanks

I'm not sure if this really helps you, but we had a druid tank Sarth without needing a tank swap during high damage breath periods. Once the drakes were down we did swap a warrior in for the druid who was tanking. It would have been possible to finish Sarth with the druid tank but it was easier for us to use the warrior at that point.

We beat sarth+3drakes today and we had:

• Druid on Sartharion
• Warrior on Drakes
• Death Knight on whelps/elementals.

My job was to heal the Druid tanking Sarth. With our strategy there was typically only one window where it was possible for the tank to take one or two 40k+ breaths, and during this time we would have a priest watch for the breath and as soon as he saw the cast bar he would use Guardian Spirit on the druid tank. Afterwards, the druid tank would pop Survival Instincts and Barkskin if he was told that the next breath would have the damage modifiers. Once all the drakes were dead we swapped the warrior tank in for our druid because the warrior had better gear and thus superior mitigation vs the damage and speed increase.

I apologize for not being able to elaborate more on our strategy, and why this technique worked, but as a healer I was worried less about strategy and more about keeping the tanks up and not getting owned by the void zones/waves. Also, I realize that technically we made use of 3 tanks but if you have a method of killing all of the spawns quickly you might be able to use only two tanks.
