looking for suggestions on unholy DK tanking build

Hi guys ive been tanking unholy for awhile now and for the most part this is what i go with.

    http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/...53001203103151

Im using the wow site because its current and not the ptr like mmochamp has.

Anyway. im wondering what should i do with my last 3 points. Usually i dump them into improved icy touch but then i saw blood-caked blade and then i started to think maybe necrosis would be better over all for tps. Im open to any suggestions so plz if you have any info, it would be most appreciated.

i think neither blood caked or necrosis is very good for tps, you will probably be using rune strike a lot, and rune strikes replace your autoattacks. how can you not have summon gargoyle? you should really take it, imo. threat gen is a complete non-issue for me, so it doesn't matter if the threat doesn't go to me (not sure...does garg get threat?). and the damage it does is awesome. DPS is still important, the faster a boss dies, the less mana a healer needs to keep you up the whole fight. 5/5 desecration may not be necessary, but you should really REALLY get wandering plague 3/3. it is amazingly good. this is the build i use and it works great.

First off, let me contract the prior poster. Necrosis does affect rune strike. There is a spread sheet over on elitist jerks that basically tell you what to expect from talents. There is also an excel sheet where you plug in everything about your talents, gear, enchants, etc and play with things to see what happens.

Necrosis is actually very good even though initially thought it would suck. It does affect rune strikes.

Gargoyle is dumb for tanking. If you OT only a few times and dps a lot, then pick it up. It is nearly worthless on many 25-man fights due to the AoE eating it alive nearly instantly.

Blood-caked Blade is also pretty good actually. I was surprised at how much my threat per second went up with it. The extra attacks could be parried, but unless you are duel wielding it won't be noticable as far as getting parry-gibbed.

Ravenous deeds is also better than I first thought. The extra strength helps your TPS.

I'm not a fan of rune tap. It is similar to last stand, but I'm just not a big fan of it. I prefer Lichborne as an oh crap button personally. As unholy you'll be doing a lot of AoE tanking and that's where lichborne thrives. make a macro to target yourself and heal with death coil and you have rune tap + dodge tricket all in one ability as opposed to just rune tap.

You should really consider improved icy touch. Obviously it'll help you get lichborne.

Outbreak is very overrated. The amount of threat increase you get from this is so small you might as well just not spend those 3 talent points.

For the most part it looks real good. Some people will suggest you put one point in wandering plague. Fully raid buffed your crit is still decent, and 1 point gives you a decent return. 3 points is a waste though.

So enough on that, what is missing.

For raiding, desecration sucks. It says 5% increased damage; however, you have to move around a lot. It turns out being a lot lower than that. 3/3 wandering plague is a waste. If you are going to put a point in, only put one. 0/5 Magic Suppression makes me wonder if you plan on tanking or just going afk all the time. Corpse Explosion is a nub alert (until the patch). Gargoyle is not a tank talent. Take those 3 points out of outbreak and stick them in ravenous deeds.

So you take gargoyle and lock yourself out of using rune strike, unholy blight, or death coil for one minute? Gargoyle and ghoul are DPS talents that do not belong in a tanking build, not even as a designated OT that needs to put out decent DPS as well.

my current build... i've done all 25man content and it works well for all bosses. i'm using corpse explosion for fun, but that point can be put in something else like necrosis.
