Re: 25 Man Raid Blood Vs Unholy

For stat Weight, blood gains more from stats, not unholy. 1 ap is same for all specs, but str with blood u gain more per 1 point of str. So going by stat weight blood will gain more from most of the stats u gain from armour or weapon.

    Stat Unholy Blood Frost
    1AP 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000
    1STR 2.4847 2.5570 2.3650
    1CRT 1.0207 1.2805 1.3212
    1HIT 2.4631 2.7485 2.9114
    1Hst 0.6046 0.6345 0.5619
    1Exp 2.1660 2.8481 2.0712
    1Apr 0.5918 1.2693 0.9086
    1AGI 0.8150 0.9164 1.0008
    1Arm 0.0278 0.0294 0.0319
    1dps 6.3169 8.4347 9.5283
    Spec 17/0/54 51/13/7 17/54/0

as you can see blood gains more benefit from every stat. Whil i concede that maybe unholy spec might be the premiere dps spec ATM, going by the wow meters rankings, blood still scales better than unholy or frost, so maybe down the road it will be top dog.

Re: 25 Man Raid Blood Vs Unholy

The stat weights are in favor of blood. This is true. What it isn't taking into account is the spell factor of our DPS. While our damage is based off of AP the talents in unholy increase our coefficients far beyond the slight differences. in weights -- stats/gear being the same.

On vacation ATM using a hotel computer so I don't have the link available, but there is a stat weight chart out there that factors in those talents and shows stat to melee weight and stat to spell weight. It's a bit different read but very well done. Maybe another reader here can find it and link it.

    EDIT: spelling
Trust the tale not the teller.
