So you know nothing of pushback fights with the exception of Sapphiron. Great, how about you shut up then.
No, it's not a vital raiding talent for newbie raiding in entry instances, but one might as well learn how to spec when the real instances (Ulduar) comes around.

And then you avoid having to respec for the only current hard fight in the game. Showing up for tripple-drake progress without 2/2 Holy Concentration would just be fail, on a high level.
    ... holy concentration? Ôo
i never talked bout ulduar, who did?
im not at sarth 3 yet, i might change spec if it ever becomes an issue
how bout u chill out ur nerdy nerves and stop bringing me down for.. what? saying that ATM it is not worth the 2 points?

''u didnt kill KJ! ur a nub!!''

like posted before, this is the "common allround raid spec"
if you want to be a total CoH WHORE then i would prefer this one

    http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?prie...h=010614020600

but since CoH gets the nerf in 3.0.8... its senseless

For not having a clue about pushback, and still claiming it's never a issue.

Not to mention, you could clear the current content with a 25/25/20 spec, it's THAT easy. So why talk about raiding builds anyway if you want to disregard the talents that's usefull for SERIOUS raiding.

    Re: From Disc to Holy

    Sarth +3 isn't easy.
And yes, for the majority of Sunwell, pushback didn't even exist for me.

I wish more people understood how Disc works. It is awesome Mt healing and fine for group healing. They also seem to never run out of mana.

I used it to heal 10/25 mans and its an amazing holy spec imo. I dropped guardian spirit(too situatioal) for imp divine spirit which is an extra 80 spirit/100 spell power and I've never looked back.

I Raid as Holy and i use this spec.

    Major Glyphs.
    Glyph of circle of healing
    Glyph of flash heal
    Glyph of spirit redemption

im also stacking crit, raid buffed i have 38% crit chance.

Healing Focus is actually waste of points in current content. How it'll be in Ulduar, we'll see but anyone who takes Healing Focus wastes 2 points.

Btw. I did it all, both as shadow, disc and holy and I can safely claim that you do not get owned by adds at Sartharion fight which really make Healing Focus bad choice for spending talent points. However, everyone's characters' talent distribution is of personal preference also, so taking Healing Focus (if one feels comfortable with it) is ok. You'd just lose talent points for other, more appealing talents.

    Re: From Disc to Holy

So you'd be one of those gimps not taking Improved Shadowform for PvE either? :-)

  12. #32

    Re: From Disc to Holy

Actually, I'd be one of those gimps who actually tried something before acting smart on it :-)

It really does take Healing Focus to cast CoH uninterrupted, or Renew, right?

  13. #33

    Re: From Disc to Holy

Ofcource that implicits that you almost never cast anything else. Fun times next patch I guess.

  14. #34

    Re: From Disc to Holy

That implies you're a priest that gets hit by mobs. Have you ever moved from spamming mind flay to something else or all your knowledge comes from reading talent descriptions?

Healing Focus is not useful, if you're getting hit enough to cause substantial pushback, you clearly have bad tanks or don't know how to use fade.

Personally I don't even pick up inner focus and put another point into healing prayers but thats just me.

And yes, I've cleared sunwell and OS25+3 and OS10+3, You can armory and check for yourself, Leyena on Tichondrius, won't show sunwell due to me making this character after WOTLK, and im logged out as pvp spec / gear.

being able to get heals off without interruption is a very nice thing to have... paladin concentration aura isnt 70%? like it used to be... only 30% or so now.

Improved Concentration Aura (now found in the Holy Tree for Paladins) is 55%

And yes, mechanic changes removed the need for it. Sarth +2 and I have no problem getting off my PoH, Flash, or Penance. Gimme time for three.

And Malygos' vortex is a joke :P

Edit:And this is a Kel's ninja edited holy spec, still after 3.0.8

    Re: From Disc to Holy

I topped meters on KJ and M'uru w/o Healing Focus.

I've cleared all WotlK content w/o Healing Focus.

It's a dead talent not worthy of points.

enjoy topping your chats... just spam CoH now

after the patch this spec will be very much on the meh side though

Going for mana efficiency, you'll want to stack crit for this spec. I used it for 25man raiding as holy (I'm pvp disc atm). Healing focus and Silent Resolve are generally not necessary for 25man, especially now that Blizz has changed spell pushback as well as tanks' threat mechanics.

After patch, it'd probably be better to swap pts out of Holy Reach to Prayers. Haven't decided if I'd max out Divine Providence then yet either. We'll see.
