Tanking question

this may be a stupid question, but since i'm planing on tanking with my dk, i'm curious

i know that 540 defense is the magic number

but is that 540 from gear (total of 940 defense)

or 540 total? (140 from gear, +400 from being 80)?

540 is your gear and skill. So 140 from your gear, 400 from skill. You'll need a total of about 690 defense rating or so to hit 540 def.

due to the nature of the DR on def skill, it is not possible by any means or iLvLs to get 940 def skill
