Thread: Patch 3.0.8 and scamming, blue posts

I'm getting rather tired of all this attention we are giving to all the people who are getting scammed. We give both the scammers and the scammed way too much attention.

They are taking away my fun of laughing at people who we're dumb enough to get themselves scammed and just plain deserved it, just to try and catch a few of these 'scammers'. Do we honestly need all these 'security measures' ? Where is this neurotic fixation coming from that everything is revolved around solving things ? What the hell ever happened to 'natural selection', the survival of the fittest, the cleansing of the ignorant ? Think of it as a 'Learning Moment', or 'Passive Eugenics'.

The playerbase of World of Warcraft is just like the rest of any group of the human race: a few winners.. a whole lotta losers. And you can't save them all.

Must be Blizzard doing this to give us the illusion that they are company based on 'customer support', while on my realm it's still impossible to raid during peak hours.

Blizzard should really focus on important things - scamming is just the fault of human stupidity.

Never ever give your PW to someone who you cant fucking roll over the ground in real life. If it's hack, then use a damn PW with letters and numbers, no not your surename+birthyear.

Hot damn! Dalaran gets a blue response about our queues; we had free transfers in Dec, but like everyone else we felt the Holiday rush.

What's flipping funny and sad as hell is the OP complaining about it is the nastiest horde guild on the server. They weren't able to clear C'Thun or Muru pre nerf, but they swagger around trade and the realm forum all day long talking about how cool they are and how shitty everyone else is. It's funny and sad that they've had to turn to realm transfers for recruitment because no one wants to put up with them on the server...

That said... omfg go back to school/work people and get off my full server! YEEE!

Silly question; but does WoWhead (or any other website) have a link to the robe those GM's are wearing?

I remember when everyone claimed those lines were proof Athene faked his GM conversation over tagging mobs and had done a photoshop job on it. Wish I'd had that screenshot back then to shut them up.

Because it scales to good? I've got no idea but that's my first guess. So they will buff other areas.

This is it. You can test by typing something in chat with an icon (like {skull}) and some words after it. With multisampling you get the extra lines. Turn it to 1x and the lines go away.

The shaman part looks good.. but if i can recall correctly, they said that they were changing the glyph of lightning bolt to increase damage.. and I don't see it in these patch notes... are they taking it out now?

Jukai...... It's blizzard trying to keep as many people in the game as possible to make the most money they can like any business.

I put a post on the suggestions thread a while back (I think they removed it nfi why) that I believe would help solve a lot of the peoples problems with security.

Blizz should implement what my bank does @ login. Leave the account name as is but change the password to a onscreen keyboard that you click each letter of your password rather than type it in, unless mouse movement "logging" is the same as keylogging ?

In regards to website address's / goldspammers in trade channel which is another way people make their accounts comprimised blizz will never completely block this aspect of the game. The "black market" is a neccesary "evil" in the world and, for blizzard, a lot of income from those "farmer" accounts paying their monthly subscription.

It's probably being nerfed because of the 30/40+1 (using Imp) build.

What I find amusing is they say Destro is good, but whenever I see a warlock talk about a Chaos Bolt build, they always say the DPS is subpar in comparison to Affliction or one of the hybrid builds.
