needed gear for protection and holy for certain instances

hi im looking at a possible promotion in my guild to classleader, however i havent been a healer since serpentshrine cavern and i havent tanked since aq40... so im kinda wondering if you people could help me out a little

basicly i need to know which stats apply to which lvl off raiding for both specs,

so for prot, defense capped and which amount of hit, stamina or other stats needed for

1. heroics.
2. any 10man excluding malygos.
3. malygos 10man and any 25man excluding malygos.
4. malygos 25man.

and for the holy pala same thing, just need to know what stats are more or less minimum, +healing, mp5, pure mana ect.

Plenty information on the forum about the Prot requirements in the sticky

However:
535 defense cap for Heroics..probably somewhere around 20k'ish for HP
540 defense cap for 10 man Raids...probably 22-25k for 10 man (Unbuffed)

25 man its keeping the defense cap and increasing your avoidance and stam.
(Only filled in on 25 man's when we are a tank short)

Ideally you should be working towards block cap (102.4% avoidance) and then switching stats for dodge/parry

Expertise is around 6.25% (off the top of my head.. so that may be wrong)
Hit.. i would not look for gear that has hit specifically. A lot of the gear comes with it, and 9/10 you are either gemming for defensive gems (defense/dodge/parry/block) or for stamina

Initial gear is pretty easy to get a hold of.. crafted saronite gear is ok and there is plenty from reputation (Argent crusade/Wyrmcrest/Ka'luak)
That should all get you close to gear for heroics.
Badge Gear - Libram and belt are both nice. The trinket is okay, but i still use the old alch trinket due to the nice amount of defense

As for prot. 535 defense for heroics 540 defense for all raids

1. heroics REQ: 22k HP ( if you don't have this yet get some crafted stuff you can do it with less but this is advised)

2. any 10man
MT: 25K HP, 20% dodge, 16% parry 16% block
OT: 22K HP (who cares? hes the OT)

3. malygos 10man
MT: 27K HP, 21% dodge, 18% parry 18% block

4. any 25man excluding malygos.
MT: 27K HP, 21% dodge, 18% parry 18% block

5. malygos 25man.
MT: 30K HP, 23% dodge 20% parry, 20% block

no actually i know a lot about my class and i am looking at different fora for the same information, however its always easier to ask, and unless you get anything off interest to post you can just as well fuck off because im not interested in some noob who thinks hes the shit for posting stupid remarks

Hi there, I can only speak for myself, but as holy:

In a 25 raid, I usually have about:
- over 20k health, and 21k mana
- over 30% crit (I find crit more important than mp5)
- over 2200 spell power

Totally unbuffed:
- 16400 health
- 18400 mana
- 26% crit (some can easily get another 5% if specced in the ret tree, but I specc in the prot tree for Divine Guardian)
- 2000 spellpower

Those stats have served me well in all heroes and raids so far. Just remember that intellect (imo) is the most important stat, as it gives spellpower, mana (therefore improving Divine Plea (aka mana reg)), and crit.
