what do you guys out there find fun about healing ? to me it seems like the Sad job, and i will respecc retri/prot soon.
you dont even have to watch your mana anymore, you can just spam whatever you like and its BOring.
I'm gonna agree partially with the guy above me. If you are never running out of mana you have one of 2 problems:

    1) You have too many healers. For Naxx-10 you only need 2 healers and naxx 25 you only need 5-6.
    2) You aren't contributing enough. While I know meters aren't everything I'm sure that if you are never having mana issues and not using Divine Plea/other CDs every chance you get you are likely not healing very effectively. You are likely the lowest on the healing meters of anyone in the raid. To quote another post earlier, if you are top of the charts, I just don't know... you must be doing something a hell of alot better then me.
    3) You are spamming FoL and have high MP5. Lose the MP5 and replace it with crit/haste. Lose the FoL spam and start using HL.

While I do think we are more mana-efficient then other end-game healers I find myself carefully watching my mana alot and on many occasions have sat in the lower 25% of my mana pool trying desperately not to go OOM.

i play a holy pally and i always get top heals. its not that the priests and druids are bad, its just us paladins have alot of healing abilities.
for example. i judge judgement of light every cd its up, and when dps are hitting the boss in a 25man, thats alot of healing that the paladin takes credit for. also glyph of healing light. i usually spam that, since i do have 25k mana raid buffed and a 40% holy light crit, plus the glyph which also heals 5 people in a 5 yard radius. My point is saying that a GOOD paladin should be in the top healing charts. if not they fail.

    Glyph of Holy Light
    Major Glyph
    Classes: Paladin
    Requires Level 15
Use: Your Holy Light grants 10% of its heal amount to up to 5 friendly targets within 5 yards of the initial target.

    You sir fail. L2play

Lets just make a reasonable comparison, an average priest with CoH heals average 11k a CoH cast ( which has <1 sec global cd). b4 CoH nerf you seriously can't beat a CoH priest, either your priest is stupid enuf to cast CoH only like effects 1 player or so.

    - CoH stats at raids for 2400sp priest is nearly 2k normal heal / target + 3k crit assuming priest is also a crit priest (20% crit), it heals 11k + a greatly possible surge of light manaless flash heal which heals 5k.

After CoT nerf a CoH priest makes 11k+5k in 6sec (+2 sec GD). which is nearly like 2k hps that is the only rotation he has.

    Think about the rotation:

    0 sec - CoH
1 sec - Flash Heal/Renew (If your seurge of light not procs)
2 sec - Prayer of Mending (3.5k non crit heal / jump) (Crits for 5k, can be able to bring surge of light)
3 sec - Flash Heal / Greater Heal (If your surge of light not procced b4 this is probably like 4.5sec)
    6 sec - CoH

Still you can assume how mana afficient is this and how this heals a lot.

What I know is most of the bigger heals like Holy Light and Greater Heal nearly heals same amount but Holy Light has a really good casting speed compared to Greater Heal.

You can always play for meters, 1.20 sec flash heals+beacon of light, glyphs etc. + your fast reactions can raise you to a good place in meters, but you forget something that there is a new single target healer that challenges you with its absorbtion and mitigation abilities: Discipline priest! And also if a tank dies while you play for meters with thrash, I directly point you and say this is your fault! (j/k)
