Its probably just easier to do the 3 quests to get the spell. You can do it after you get home from work.

Visit Winterspring, Dire Maul and mess around with a doomguard commander tainted scar.

Plus it even gives you the full 13gs per quest. (even at 80)

I'm surprised it isn't trainable like the mount is now.

It shouldn't be trainable, just like the mount shouldn't be.

Yeah, but that's because the mount is actually worth it. The Doomguard isn't.
You cannot do that while stunned.

The old doomguard wasn't worth, the new one definitely is.

i cant agree with you, if only because of the retardedly long cooldown on the ability and the awkwardness involved in even getting him out in the first place.

Once he's actually out, he's 100% better than he used to be, but what cripples him is what has always crippled him:

try getting him out when you need him to make a difference, i dare you.

I agree with the above poster. The Doomguard might be a viable pet, but he's still so fucking awkward to handle. The summoning, the enslaving etc. It doesn't even hold for that long.

I'd rather get mine through Curse of Doom if I'd ever want one.

Summoning isn't too hard, just need people to click on the little alter that appears, and no one dies anymore (someone takes damage, but I haven't had anyone die). He's automatically enslaved and after 15 minutes he just disappears.
Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

    Re: grimoire of doom

Meh too much work, like what was said before try to get him out when your need to or it makes a difference, good luck. Also if you want some big mean pet to run around smashing things get a felguard, using that pet is completely negligible in most situations for an affliction warlock or any other for that matter.....imo..

The World of Warcraft is a game of much complexity, sometimes there's fire, and you have to not stand in it.

ok my lock people, if you're 80, just run the quests.

    very easy, simple runs.

    save yourself the madness.

    Re: grimoire of doom

yall really need to summon the doomguard,

    1) no one dies anymore

    2) He is auto enslaved, does not break enslavement and will automatically disappear after 15 minutes, 60 minute cooldown is awkward but eh.

    3) He pulled 2200dps on loatheb his cleave crits are over 4.5k. he has 45k health and 22k armor.

    Re: grimoire of doom

mine has had just over 50k health 25 man raid buffed. if your afflic specced i would highly recommend using one every hour during raids as a dps boost over other pets. i dont find him doing more dps than a felguard in my own experience but he can live thru most of a heigan fight which i find very hard to keep a pet alive.

if your doing 10 man 4 horseman u can use him to tank in the back and just watch your threat and health funnel and u can keep him up without a healer helping you.
