If you mean, are they mainly a one target healer? Yes.

Otherwise, their their PvE play style isnt very similar to a pally at all.

They also tend not to care so much about FSR, highly value crit and are not really fussed with having spirit.

Disc. Priests are more there for there utility than heals, you will not have the big heals of a Holy Priest/Paladin But its your ability to mitigate incoming damage with shields (combined with the glyph), Divine Aegis, and Grace. Pain Suppression is great for someone that accidently pulls or if your part of cd rotations for Sarth. From my experience you also have almost limitless mana since you gain mana back from effective heals from Rapture. And Penance is just OP.

    Agreed.

Disc tree improves and rewards tools that Holy priests tend to use rarely (like PWS) but utimately it's still the holy priest toolset + penance. Disc is cool & different, but you're still a priest, not a paladin (or druid or shaman).

Holy paladins used to spam FoL / HoL all the time. Disc spams pws, penance, fheal, pom, eventually gheal. Oh, we don't have blessings either so no.. not like holy pally :>
