Question regarding Soul Siphon and Corruption Consolidation

I saw in the Patch 3.1 release notes that Soul Siphon will no longer be an active spell, but instead the effect will be applied to the Corruption spell. Now, this seems like kind of a *duh* question, and I'm sorry if it's been answered before, but, will the DPS generated by Siphon Life be consolidated into Corruption as well as the effect? I would much rather keep the PvE rotation as "complex" as it is than to have a DPS nerf.
