The Perfect WoTLK Warlock Gear Setup

What would be the perfect warlock total outfit 3.09 version gear setup.

If I was a naked level 80 Warlock and had the power to access all items in the game.

What would the perfect full body warlock gear setup that does the best dps and best status.

This is my thoughts:

Main Hand: The Turning Tide
Back: Pennant Cloak
Chest: Gown of the Spell-Weaver
Feet: Arcanic Tramplers
Finger1: Signet of Manifested Pain
Finger2: Lost Jewel
Head: Hood of Rationality
Legs: Leggings of the Wanton Spellcaster
Neck: Wyrmrest Necklace of Power
Off-Hand: Surplus Limb
Shoulder: Valorous Plagueheart Shoulder
Trinket1: Extract of Necromatic Power FIXED -- Illustration of the Dragon Soul
Trinket2: Dying Curse
Waist: Cincture of Polarity or Leash of Heedless Magic
Wrist: Bindings of the Expansive Mind
Hands: Gloves of Grandeur
ADDED -- Wand: Gemmed Wand of the Nerubians

In addition, all gear will have the best dps enchant, and the best matching dps gem to provide full utility. As well as have a belt buckle.

I'm pretty sure the general consensus is that Illustration of the Dragon Soul is superior than Extract for Trinket1. Other than that, looks like most of the best-in-slot items are there.

This was my list for Affliction from my post http://www.mmo-champion.com/index.php?topic=36471.15. I do not know about Destruction though. I notice you lack the dps boost from the 2 piece set bonus.

This list is not absolute and there are other set ups mentioned in the latter pages of http://elitistjerks.com/f80/t37900-d...arlock_thread/. I would not go off of the rankings on the first post of the thread as they are very hit heavy and are not nessecarily balanced around the hit cap, but in the later pages, there are a few combos that seem good.

There is already a similar thread in here. Go check it out. Furthermore, your meta gem won't work with pure red gems in socket and the bracers from OS are loads better than Razuvious ones.

Also you can take Risu's list and replace the robe with:
Chest: Gown of the Spell-Weaver
-Gem: 9 Spell Damage 8 hit
-Enchant: Enchant Chest - Powerful Stats, Enchant Chest - Major Spirit

Or possibly skip the hit gem (breaking socket bonus, which is almost negligible), go for a straight spell power gem, and throw Enchant Boots - Icewalker on your boots to make up the a bit of hit, and some extra crit.

This would allow a gear set if you need about 3% higher hit, either from lack of hit talents (such as a deep demo build), or lack of a moonkin or shadow priest.

Its all good and well listing all that gear.... But the problem im stuck with, is even if you get all that gear, will you not be very far off the hit cap - and therefor actually lose dps?

That is close to the list on warlockdens.com listing best in slot items btw which has been out alot sooner than this thread.

Anywhere I go it tells me the valorious head is very very close to the hood of rationality same goes for the shoulders.
Obviously pants and chest are not worth it.
Gloves are also very good.

Best in slot items is very dependable on your hit required hit rating, therefor all allies have an advantage over horde chars.
