New Blacksmithing recipe's in 3.1?

This may have come up already in previous post's but has anyone seen or read anything outlining any new Socket recipes for Blacksmiths? I recall something in the past talking about allowing us to put a Meta slot on a helm or chest piece.

Any news on this or am I just dreaming?

There were rumors and information that surfaced during the PTR, but nothing surfaced beyond that. As it sits, the stat gain from the current sockets is equal to the stat gain of every other profession, excluding JC which gets like 1 or 2 more stats.

Now...in a future patch they may rework all the professions to boost their stat gain, but they would be adding stuff to each profession at that time and nothing has been mentioned or hinted at at this time.
