It's not really about proof, it's about travel time. The SB doesn't have time to proc the SF effect for you to cast it instantly afterwards, simply because it hasn't hit yet. Unless ofc you are in Melee range, which in Meta you might be. So you need a filler spell in between.

This has been discussed on EJ, and it can work depending on range and travel time:

If you sit right on top of the target you can use just SB -> SF
If you're at max range you can usually get away with SB -> SB -> SF -> SB -> SF

However the whole issue could be avoided altogether if the buff procced on CAST, instead of on HIT.

lies, u have to be at max range for the filler - SF - filler - SF rotation.. the only time u need to cast 2 filler spells is at the start of the rotation.

heh yeh, reading is hard, also proc on cast is not so hot as you will ignore miss chance

rotation sb - sb -sf -sb - sf is not bad at all as you will most likely spam sb at the beginning anyway
