    Re: Hit cap for Shadowpriest

Hey, where did you get that dispel resistance % information? Do you have a source? Not saying I don't believe you just looking to read as much as I can.

From the dispel wiki on wowwiki - http://www.wowwiki.com/Dispel_(mechanic) - it says that the spell "hitting" (caused by +hit) doesn't effect the part of the spell that can "fail."

Here's an example given on the wiki ---
On spell hit procs are not affected by fails. As such, a Dispel Magic (rank 2) can trigger a proc even though it fails at removing both buffs.
So it would sound like you still only need 4% for the spell to "hit" them (assuming no -hit talents or abilities active) and then the spell has a chance to fail per buff it tries to remove. The "fail" part is what is effected by talents like Silent Resolve, so +hit cannot effect those things.

I could be reading things wrong!

EDIT -- Sounds like Aether beat me to it... but I was doing some research lol.

Yeah, I've must been confusing it with passive/temporary resistance buffs.
Such as cloak enchant. But that part is up to spell penetration.
