Scepter of the Shifting Sands question

I don't know if this is right place to ask this but this seemed most suitable forum for it so if I made mistake I apologize up front.

I have question about blue scepter shard. Few of my guildies and me are on this quest chain. We obtained red and green shards and are now on The good news and the bad news. My question is, when one of us build buoy and we summon and kill shark can all 4 of us loot shard or just one of us? Although I’m pretty sure what answer I’ll get I still hope somebody will tell me good news here. Thought of gathering 40 elemntium ore, 40 sapphires, 40 diamonds and 80 arcanite bars is frightening. Not that it will stop us but I guess we’ll have to move from Dalaran to Nefarian’s place for next 2 months.

Hmm, iirc, when I completed that part of the chain, I looted the item from the shark, went back to the npc and asked for another bouy before I finished the quest part and it worked.

Try it out, it might still work.
