here are a couple ideas maybe...vengeance should maybe be 5 talent points going up to 5% increased damage each critical stacking 3 times..15% increased damage over time instead of 9% now, and righteous vengeance should be increased to 100% damage but over 15 seconds instead of 8 seconds...less burst but alot better long term damage

I don't like the fact that if they balance our mana regen around this glyph, Ret will have 4 mandatory-type glyphs, and will have sacrifice an actual damage increasing glyph to have a shadow of what was once SA. If I come out wrong and the glyph mana is just extra mana, then fine, but in that situation, why even take the glyph?

make it a minor glyph. Problem solved.

Ilovepeaches, methinks you should have paid a little more attention to Blue Posts during the wotlk beta. They specifically said that the two "vengeance" talents should be kept practically identical, which they are.

You seem a little butthurt that another class finally got an attack that's based on melee mechanics, but ignores armor though. About time, imo.

Your droll sarcasm aside, he was pointing out to how Blizzard made a statement long ago that any changes they made to Vengeance would probably be mirrored to Bloody Vengeance as well, because of how analogous they are. It took a year for Shaman Flurry to catch up with Warrior Flurry, but the same parallelism exists.

Meh, I can think of worse fates.  I log on the shaman occasionally for a little leveling action, but it's a far cry from our run when wotlk came out speed-wise.

How about killing two birds with one stone?

They want exorcism in the standard ret rotation. (Done, it's now usable on every mob)

They want ret to utilize the other trees beyond divine strength. (Move Purifying Power to Tier 2 or Tier 3 - reduced CD on exorcism, actually making it a viable inclusion in a rotation - and the reduced mana cost on consecration would be a help to the mana pool - not that consecration is in the normal rotation, just any little bit helps right?)

The reduced CD especially in Tier 2, makes it worthwhile to take.

But consecration is in our normal rotation. No consecration means we do laughable DPS. They would have to buff THE HELL out of DS/CS/Etc to make up for losing Cons if they intend it to be out of our normal rotation, or give us a new skill to use in it's place. It makes up a pretty decent chunk of rets dmg.

It would be nice though if they made teh exor CD reduction in a lower tier we could take would be amazing, but it wouldn't be a huge buff, which frankly, we need(for PvE, it would probably be mildly OP in PvP if you've seen how much Exor can hit for on teh PTR)

lol watch a pally tank as ret, or Heal as prot and see how far they get. It's not going to happen. Stop using this "OMG U CAN HEAL AND TANK AND DPS ALL IN ONE SPEC" like we can spec 71/71/71. We spec Ret to DPS, not be told to shut up and heal.

Make divine storm holy damage in PvE

thats impossible. There is no "on/off" switch for any spell in wow except in arena's were some ar enot allowed in play.


Dont make it holy dmg again. Or we'll see 99.9% of all pallies going ret again and able to kill s6 players in lvl 75 blues. that QQ shit...i dont ever wanna see it again. I felt so embarassed to be my class 5-6months ago because of that BS that came out of the wow community.

Its fine as it is now.


If you guys need more dps then Id advise helping blizz come up with a 3rd-4th attack as you only have 2 minus the 2 instant casts. DKs have like 20 attacks to do, warriors have abotu 4-5 and currently pallies click 3 buttons on all 3 specs lol.
