The bonus is a specific timed buff that let us utilize haste PRECISELY when we need it, that is doing Mind Flay or refreshing Vampiric Touch.

It couldn't be better, since compared to trinkets like Embrace of the Spider, it don't screw up your rotation, or make you feel like doing a extra Mind Flay when it weren't efficient.

    Re: T8 set bonus

The Healing sets seem to be aimed at Disc far more than Holy.

What Blizz need to do is add something that's useful for both on the same gear, like maybe 4 set have something to do with Penance and Guardian Spirit seeing as you can not have both these spells at the same time, and the 2 set something to do with Flash Heal, a spell used by both specs. ATM, all the sets but the Shadow 2 set are pretty horrible.

To clarify about the details for the Shadow 4p bonus:

http://ptr.wowhead.com/?spell=64908 gives you following buff: Devious Mind

    Devious Mind
    Instant
Increases haste rating by 240 for 4 sec.

Which is absolutely perfect for the next two Mind Flays after a Mind Blast

    Re: T8 set bonus

Well, that link gives me a little more hope. But, if there is a disc priest in the raid, a holy priest tossing up shields so they can get a possible 4 second healing buff (if this spell is real and if the healing set is a healing version of the spell) is not going to be very useful. I suppose toss up a self shield when you need a healing boost for your next spell? :/

It sounds like it could be quite useful... but just to play devils advocate, there is no point to speeding up MF if it doesnt leave enough time to do something else b4 MB comes off CD.

However it sounds like enough haste that we might be able to get 3 MFs in without delaying the next MB which will be extremely desirable.

    Re: T8 set bonus

OMG why do healing priests always get screwed with set bonuses. We didnt have decent set bonuses in bc and now in wrath it looks like were gonna be screwed again. ???

poh 10% is not really what u want as a disc priest
but 15 sp on pw:s needs to stack till at least 10 then it might be nice for disc but fail for holy

still why cant we get something like the mages "your flash heal, greater heal, mend, renew has a chance to grant 350 spellpower"
or even "your flash heal, greater heal, mend, renew has a chance to grant 150 mp5 for 15 sec"

    Re: T8 set bonus

its most probably not the 15 sp as the spriest one turns out to be :Increases haste rating by 240 for 4 sec.
assuming holy set will be the same, increased spellpower by 240 for couple secs

    - 2p: I find it quite odd the expect priests to use Prayer of Healing. Everybody who done their homework know that you either get Circle of Healing, or let a Paladin / Druid or Shaman do the AoE healing. Beacon of Light already proves to be much more efficient than PoH.
Discipline priests dont have Circle of healing, I find this setbonus good but I wouldnt say awesome.

I just joined a tenman raiding guild that only has active holypaladins, so I as a discipline priest am happy that they made prayer of healing targetable and add 490 critrating (10%) to prayer of healing being able to keep inspiration and divine aegis up on the raid when there is aoe damage.

but 15 sp on pw:s needs to stack till at least 10 then it might be nice for disc but fail for holy
I do hope it stacks because otherwise this is a very weak implementation from blizzards part.

I do remember a blue post saying that they like how some players minmax gear and they didnt want to make setbonuses as mandatory as they were in vanilla.

Indeed most "best in game" items are non setpieces, eventhou they look like crap. at 60 u had best in slot and best looking :> was awesome

As someone stated before, WoWhead shows the shadow set bonus is the following:

http://ptr.wowhead.com/?spell=64908 gives you following buff: Devious Mind

    Devious Mind
    Instant
Increases haste rating by 240 for 4 sec.

The shadow 4 piece bonus seems to be structured about the same as the healing one, so i'm guessing instead of the 240 haste off mind blast, you'd have X about of spell power off your shields. I'm guessing 240ish spell power for the same duration. This would be very very very good for disc, but craptastic for holy. Bubble => PoH = 25% hasted PoH w/ lots of extra spell power...

The 4 piece bonus is obviously not 15 spell power so you can stop worrying about it.

240 haste rating for 4 seconds sounds awesome for the next 2 spells but how will this affect us when BL is up ?

Atm i pop a wild magic, keep dots up and spam MF when BL is up for maximum dps but will it be the same with the 4set bonus ?

off topic: keep up ur posts on this forum, always a pleasure to read them ^^

A DPS increase I'd say. At the moment whenever we use BL I also use my handmounted hyperaccelerometerthingamajigsaw which gives 340 haste. I can then weave 3-4 MFs between MB cooldowns. ~1.5 Seconds Mindflays are sweet.

    Re: T8 set bonus

    http://ptr.wowhead.com/?spell=64906 - T8 Spriest 2-set effect
    http://ptr.wowhead.com/?spell=64907 - S buff called "Devious mind: +240 haste for 4 sec"
    http://ptr.wowhead.com/?spell=64908 - T8 Spriest 4-set effect: procs ability 64907 on unknown occations

    Healing gear have something similar.

http://ptr.wowhead.com/?spell=64909 - Stormhammer, probably unrelated to healing gear

    http://ptr.wowhead.com/?spell=64910 - T8 spriest 2-set effect: +10% healing
http://ptr.wowhead.com/?spell=64911 - Increases spell power by 250 for 5 sec.
http://ptr.wowhead.com/?spell=64912 - Not yet datamined by wowhead.

But the healing priest T8 set bonus can be found here

    http://ptr.wowhead.com/?itemset=833
    And it adds effect 64912.

Assuming this effect procs 64911, in the same fashion as the shadow equivalent, healing priests will get a +250 spellpower proc boost on their T8 5pt set bonus.
Non-discipline since 2006. Also: fails. "Chakra, when the walls fell"

    Re: T8 set bonus

As usual, a huge dissapointment from the set bonus. The shadow set bonus is "Okey", not wow, not yey! not amazing.
the 2 set bonus of the healing is okey, but when you leen to the other healers and see what they get as 2 set bonus you become abit :/
The 4 set bonus of the healing suggests you go discipline. As holy you should not be using the sheild that much, since it doesn't absord much damage (2.5-3k), gets blown off in 1 hit and costs tuns of mana. i am very dissapointed to see a set bonus, 4 parts that directly asks me to cast a sheild for a small and not niticable amount of spellpower for a short duration (250 for 5 sec). as a holy priest i'm dissapointed. as a discipline priest i'm "okey". as a shadow i'm "okey".

I still dont understand why the set bonus for priest are so lame. give my prom the ability to hot (pala holy shock), give me a 2nd hot (druid geting our 6 talent point renew on their rejub that is already better then renew), give me a reduce CD on CoH/penance for 1 sec (like riptide). increase my healing effects of my flash heal (like swiftmend). 10% chance to crit with PoH is okey (till you look what others get), 4 part bonus is ... especialy as holy.

    Re: T8 set bonus

I would suggest healer 4set bonus to be procced from PoM/Renew.

15 sp... that had better be a damn typo.

and of all the ugly colored texts out there you had to pick the worst... purple.
    "Only Jack can zip up."
The word you want to use is "have" not "of".

If there will be encounters with huge raid damage, priests will be the one to heal up the raid. Also, PoH is not slow, not after you stack up Serendipity. Which is what smart, good priests will do.

    Re: T8 set bonus

That shadow one kind of concerns me a bit.

By the time the effect is applied, probably around .25s or so after landing a MB, you will have already started your next spell. Thus, this spell won't be affected by the haste proc, since it has already started casting. So at least 1.2 to 1.3 seconds minimum of this will be wasted every time it procs due to game mechanics.
