New Molten Armor: A lesson in terrible design.

It was expressed repeatedly that developers saw how useless spirit was on mage gear. It was pointed out that they acknowledged this and intended to give mages *something* for spirit so it didn't feel so useless. They come up with this

-- Molten Armor now causes 170 Fire damage when hit for all ranks (Up from 75/130/170) and also increases your critical strike rating by 25% of your spirit.

Mage DPS is hardly going to be affected, however, is this best we can come up with? From a design standpoint, this is terrible. The long and short of it this: Spirit is still a useless stat and molten armor is half as good as it once was. Great work team! Now lets see how much spirit we can put on mage T8!

Have they also removed the "and reduces the chance you are critically hit by 5%"?

No. I went on the PTR this morning and that is still on molten armor.
