Lightning gen vs new wintergrasp trinket?

So I've been thinking about the difference between

Gnomish Lightning Generator

Use: Generates a bolt of lightning to strike an enemy for 2610 to 3190 Nature damage. 1 Min CD.

and

Platnum Disks of Swiftness

Equip: Improves your resilience rating by 95
Use: Increases your haste rating by 375 for 20 sec. 2 Min CD.

Being an engineer, I have the option of also using

Hyperspeed Accelerators

Permanently attaches hyperspeed accelerators to a pair of gloves, allowing a skilled engineer to increase their haste rating by 340 for 10 sec. 2 Min CD.

in conjunction (I'm assuming? I could be wrong) with the Platnum achieving 715 haste, which would put it around Power Infusion level with ~20% spell haste for 10 sec, ~10% spell haste for 20 sec.

I've found that the Gnomish Lightning Generator followed up by a Holy Shock can do almost 9k damage if both crit which wins a lot of games. But on the other hand a Power Infusion effect would let me spam instants and Flash of Lights so fast that I could recover from bad situations very quickly AND have 95 resilience. You could pop aura mastery during this and pound out anything to completely turn the tide of a fight.

What do the rest of you think?

Equip: Restores 18 mana per 5 sec.
Use: Increases your haste rating by 140 for 20 sec. (2 Min Cooldown)

stacks with the gloves. Maybe meaning the new trinket also would.

Gloves dont share a cooldown with anything else bar themselves.
