So for tanking what are the preferred profs in 3.1?

since i doubt they will be buffing the bonus you get from mining, and probably buffing the other profs bonuses. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that BSing/Mining will no longer be the best combination for a tank. I haven't bothered to look at JCing or incription, but i'm gonna guess they are prolly getting new BoP gems, and BoP inscriptions. Prehaps a new alchemy stone. TBH I have no idea, and I'm too lazy to look it up. someone tell me. TELL ME WHAT TO DO, SO I DON'T HAVE TO THINK!!!!!!!

mining/jcing has been the best since they made mining stamina instead of hp.

blacksmithing could top mining NOW if you get lucky and get stam gems in the fishing daily(if that's even an option?).

Atm JC/Mining is the best. We need to wait if BS wil be better than Mining in 3.1. It depends on the epic gems from JC really if BS is gonna give more stam then Mining.

JC/BS gives you more versatility to cover extra stats w/ some sockets.

Either one works. I'm sticking w/ Mining until the epic gems come out. (although collecting plenty of ore now for power leveling BS.)

LW and Mining both give 50 so are equal atm. Also with what we have seen up till now BS isnt going to be that 90 stam you say it will be. Not even better than LW/Mining. You probably came up with 3(3 gems slot from BS)×30(stam per epic gem). But this is not the case. First of all 1 of the gems slots isnt BS only so it doesnt count towards the bonus for BS. Also the epics gems are limited. For now you can only have 1 epic gem socketed(http://ptr.wowhead.com/?item=45880). So the 30 stam from epics gems will just be 24 again, like it is now.

If things change like they were anounced up till now JC wil be the best prof together with LW/Mining like it is before 3.1.

For me, I will tank on my Pally with the two profession that makes the most sense for an hybrid : JC and Enchanting. The tanking aspect have to make concession for the healing and DPS aspect of my class.

Comparing to the bracer enchant LW enchant is a 50 bonus, so its equal to the 50 stam from mining. But you are right, he did use the right link.
