How do you start an arena team?

Ok, yes I know the whole technical bit about going and finding an arena organiser, paying him and getting a team registered, but does anyone have a guide on what general issues you should look at before putting together an arena team?

For example, what resilence should the team members have?

I'm also assuming that arena teams don't need a 'tank' as such because no matter how good a tank is, the other team will always go for the healer first?

So, for example, in a 3v3 team should you be looking for 2 dps and 1 healer?

nearly every composition is possible. only some are better xD. 3 DD can also work if you play your cards well. in general it´s all about knowing what you are doing, what options you have in your team, what the enemy has.... so IF you go for 3 DD for example, all of your team members should be able to burst and do a good job @ cc:
for a (very extreme) example a three fury warrior team would have a little more armor and live may be a little more overall dps than tripple rogue, but you lack @ burst and you massivly lack @ cc. so thats why there are no warrior teams out there, because this team would have no direction, no aim. on the other hand you still have warriors out there doing arena because of their ms.

so the match up is all your choice. you could even go for 2 healers and one dps for outlast fights ^^

as for resilience: resilience is good if you have enought but for some classes or rolls in arena it´s still not worth it. does a rogue you comes out of stealth and stunshots you really need 900 resilience or wouldn´t 300 more AP or some crit be better? so it´s all about your roll in the team and every player should know what he needs. my tip is: just do some practise matches with them

You start off by doing hours of /yell in dalaran that you challenge every piece of shit on the streets for a brawl. When enough people are angry at you the GM will write you and you tell him you want an arena team so you can qualify for the olympics of facerollcraft.
