Re: Comment and Suggestions for my UI

Personally I'd make it line up a bit better, clean up the minimap and hide some unnecessary buttons (bag/character bars)
But then I run with a very minimal UI, with no minimap icons and only 24 buttons + recount.
If you like it that way then by all means keep it like that, its all made for you and you alone after all

What do you think isn't lined up that well. I can't decide, it all just appears weird. IDK I may just be asking for to much alignment from myself :P

Re: Comment and Suggestions for my UI

like the bottom of the bars/chat/recount, personally I'd make recount and chat a similar size and make it look like a bit of a castle shape... :x
If you're not using it already you can use Align to do that really easily

Re: Comment and Suggestions for my UI

    I like it!

However, I personally always love a dot/hot/(de)buff tracker, something like DoTimer or alike.
And on today's episode of Cooking with Nubs:
We'll be baking a nubcake with a nice icy layer of QQ.

Re: Comment and Suggestions for my UI

It's nice overall, nice skins and all that, but there are some things that I find unnecessary.
    - why do you have three hp bars? One is enough, three of them only take up precious space
    - do you really need pet casting bar? Do you really need your pet to take you so much space with it's mana and hp frame?
    - why do you have two casting bars?
    - why do you have action bars grid shown?
    - why do you have so many icons on screen? You only need the ones that are on CD and you use them frequently.
Curses, shadowbolt, mana tap: they don't have CD right? Why would u need them? Same for hearthstone, proffs, macros etc.
    - why do you have recount enabled in combat? It distracts you when you are not 1st on list and makes you do more mistakes in fight (get aggro, die in void zone etc.)
    - why do you need short CDs shown in bars? You can see them in action bars, I use cooldown bars only for 2min+ CDs which i do't have in action bars like BL, Mana Tide etc...

This is how it looks at me:

Hidden bags etc., they show on mouseover:

I have 1hp bar, target and target of target.
This is just my alt, so I let it show what he is casting.
Two casting bars = mine and my pets.
Action bars shown = I don't keybind alot.
Grid = just showing where it is at.
I like having all my spells out.
I have recount enabled because I use recount threat.

The only thing I'd say now is changing the default quartz texture, but if you like it thats fine, I just like mine to match the rest

Re: Comment and Suggestions for my UI

Looks kinda bulky to me, but as Xs said before, i kinda like to run with a small and compact UI. If it gets the job done, then thats all that matters.

I knew someone will ask that even I said before that one bar is enough. I'm just used to have that player portrait, I tried to remove it but it just feels empty so I play with 2 hp/mana bars. HUD activates only in combat tho and it's much more easier to see hp/mana on it then looking at the left upper corner all the time. So, yeah I play with both of them.

Re: Comment and Suggestions for my UI

Looks like a nice and clean UI. Only thing that I personally would change is the default quartz texture, as mentioned before - but that's down to personal preference.

One thing I really want to know is, what is the font you're using in your chat window? Always liked that one, never caught the name.

Yea, no harm implied there, like i said i've just had the hugest urge to use that picture somewhere, and this happened to be the first situation i found for it, heh.
