In a process of moving away from elvui. This is what it looks like so far:

i'd hide the action bars and simplify player/target frames a bit more but everything else is really quite nice
you can disable it in dungeons
Am I missing something in this conversation?

tbh, i think it's high time for Blizz to revamp the default UI to the modern style of minimalist but vital information.
Like the UI in the Division, Skyrim, or even Overwatch.
As much as I enjoy self tweaking and experimenting with different addons and UI layouts, I would not miss it, if the default UI is BOTH aesthetically pleasing and functional; while retaining maximum screen estate.
honestly the only game to come out with a UI that i believe is useful and visually pleasing is BDO
i only move one thing on it
i think it's my cool-downs
need those in the middle of my face cuz i derp

i like most f2p game ui's i guess
BDO has the nice rectangle map that is big and everything else looks so damn modern
there is like no stupid detail dungeons and dragons look to it
i don't see the clunky
unless you have a very crap ui scale idk
plus as far as big maps and quest tracking goes i have yet to play anything that beats it
just for the record i don't play anything that's not an rpg so that may be why you boys think other ui's are better

Or taking inspiration from ElvUI, MiirGUI, etc.
The theming of the UI is I think getting in the way too much.
Labels or text aren't necessary when you know what it means.
Seems you want them for the benefit of an observer, not the player.
So you know whats going on.
