Arcane Macros

Just curious as to what macros you arcane mages use out there for pve?

I use a few very basic ones. I have arcane power and icy veins tied into my AM, PoM is tied into AB, and my AM includes a [nochanneling:arcane missiles] so i can spam it.

None of my trinkets have a "use" function otherwise I'd tie them in too.

not if ur tank know what they doing

to be honest with arcane there are not to many macros especially if you don't have trinkets that have "use". I also do not like to have arcane power and icy veins on a macro because sometimes you do not want those casted together especially in longer fights that maybe more mana intensive.

casting AM while AM is still channeling will cancel the previous AM spell al nochanneling basically just prevents tat from happening

What that macro would do is you would put that on say Arcane blast so it will only cast it IF arcane missiles isn't channeling, or put it on AM so while you're cast bar is going for the 3rd arcane blast in your rotation, you start mashing arcane missiles and even if you mash it too long, you won't overwrite the first one with a 2nd cast after one GCD.

[------------------------------------------------------] <--- AM cast bar

Now pretend you're mashing the AM button for a bit

[-------AM----------][--------AM----------]etc.
This would be without the macro

[---------------------AM-------------------------------][--------------------------AM--------------------------]
This is with the macro - you get full casts because it will not recast if you are channeling already.

or does it go right after Missiles?

pretty sure it's like that.

Edit: Tested it today and it actually does work very well.
