Slam gets rid of HS?

Ive noticed that if i queue up HS, and then Slam, the HS becomes unhighlighted. This is rather annoying as many times i want that HS to friggin go my next melee attack. Instead i just have to queue it again. Just kind of annoying. Anyone know why this happens?

/cast Slam
/cast Heroic Strike

make a macro with that, and just use that instead of slam button when you want to rage dump. works perfectly
