    I'm headed to work but I'll play with rawr when I get home.

    Shouldn't be too hard to do if you just download the program yourself, just pick stuff at the top of the list, as you go things will shift in priority and you'll have to go back and pick more stuff at the top of the list.

    one thing that will be a hindrance I can imagine will be your belt choice. With heroic presence I have the option of not needing 1% hit and can instead go for the crafted belt with expertise.

    I am at work myself. =p

    I'll probably mess with it when I get home. I was being lazy. =p

    Re: New BiS setup for Ret

    Raw is coming out with Wrathstone and DMC Greatness for my BiS - ahead of FotFF.

    That said, I'll be tempted to keep the three of them with FotFF being used for longer fights when you're consistantly attacking and Wrathstone being used for 'phase' fights where you need to get as much dps done as possible during time periods.

    Re: New BiS setup for Ret

    Ehh I forgot to turn on Heroic Presence with my calculations. Using the list I posted at the end of the first page, along with imp versions of things like Icy Touch and Horn, and with three 27 str gems JC get, I am getting well over 6600 DPS.

    EDIT: Just played with rawr some more after getting home. Using this set up I am getting 6,664 DPS on rawr

    Head: [Warhelm of the Champion]
    Neck: [Frigid Strength of Hodir]
    Shoulder: [Conqueror's Aegis Shoulderplates]
    Back: [Drape of the Faceless General]
    Chest: [Conqueror's Aegis Battleplate]
    Wrists: [Wristbands of the Sentinel Huntress]
    Hands: [Conqueror's Aegis Gauntlets]
    Waists: [Belt of the Titans]
    Legs: [Conqueror's Aegis Legplates]
    Feets: [Battlelord's Plate Boots]
    Ring1: [Sif's Promise]
    Ring2: [Godbane Signet]
    Trinket1: [Fury of the Five Flights]
    Trinket2: [Darkmoon Card: Greatness]
    Mainhand: [Voldrethar, Dark Blade of Oblivion]

    That's with str gems in almost every slot, using the 27 str JC gems to get the leg, helm, and boot socket bonus. It's also is fully raid buff (including Heroic Presence) with food and flask buffs.

    Wrist: Bitter Cold Armguards
    Hands: (you may not agree with me now but), Furious scaled gauntlets
    Waist: Belt of Colossal Rage
    Legs: Conqueror's Aegis Legplates (dragons eye)
    Boots: Battlelord's Plate Boots (dragons eye)
    Rings: Bladebearer's Signet;Sif's Promise
    Trinket: Greatness, Blood of the Old God
    Weapon: Voldrethar, Dark Blade of Oblivion
    Libram: Furious/deadly libram or naxx libram

    Re: New BiS setup for Ret

    I just put in all the items you listed in rawr protez, with imp versions of every raid buff, food buff, and flask, and I am still barely getting over 6,500 DPS with that gear. I put in the gear Adamson listed on the first page, with the JC gems and am getting the same 6,540 he was.

    The last list I provided was giving well over 6,600 DPS. Granted a few items were from hard modes of bosses (necklace, helm), but all the same it seems to be the most accurate BiS I have seen in this thread with the highest DPS provided.

    the list i put in im getting just under 7k dps.

    the main thing i rawr doesnt account for the 5% boost to Cs, which since the patch has become our largest dammaging ability.

    Re: New BiS setup for Ret

    The version of rawr I am using is 2.2.1. It was released just yesterday. As far as I can tell it has all the changes since patch 3.1.

    Gladiators gloves fail.

    It would be different if crusader strikes were 30-40% of our damage like it used to be. However despite the CS buffs CS still only makes up ~7% of our damage done. Quit trying so hard to make gloves itemized for survival "bis"

    The massive amount of expertise and strength on the t8 gloves makes them far superior to a 5% CS bonus.

    Re: New BiS setup for Ret

    This is the best I could come up with:

    Head: [Obsidian Greathelm] (+21 Crit +3% Crit Dmg, +27 Str){+50 AP, +20 Crit}
    Neck: [Insurmountable Ferver]
    Shoulder: [Conqueror's Aegis Shoulderplates] (+27 Str){+40 AP, +15 Crit}
    Back: [Drape of the Faceless General] (+16 Str, +16 Str){+22 Agi}
    Chest: [Conqueror's Aegis Battleplate] (+16 Str, +16 Str){+10 Stats}
    Wrists: [Bracers of Unrelenting attack] (+16 Str){+50 AP}
    Hands: [Conqueror's Aegis Gauntlets] (+16 Str){+20 Hit}
    Waists: [Belt of the Titans] (+16 Str, +16 Str, +16 Str)
    Legs: [Conqueror's Aegis Legplates] (+16 Str, +27 Str){+75 AP, +22 Crit}
    Feet: [Battlelord's Plate Boots] (+16 Str, +16 Str) {Icewalker}
    Ring1: [Sif's Promise]
    Ring2: [Crazed Construct ring]
    Trinket1: [Fury of the Five Flights]
    Trinket2: [Darkmoon Card: Greatness]
    Mainhand: [Voldrethar, Dark Blade of Oblivion] (+16 Str, +16 Str){Berserking}
    6202 DPS

    6622 AP
    .04% miss chance
    0% dodge chance
    39.58% Crit

    With a little tweaking I was able to get 6227 DPS, 0% miss chance, .31% dodge chance. This set up used the Ignis-25 weapon. Guess I should tweak the above set up a bit.

    JC and BS I presume? What race? A Blood Elf JC only gets 6247 DPS from that.

    Re: New BiS setup for Ret

    Aye, BS and JC, with heroic presence and imp versions of all buffs. Also as a human for extra expertise with 2handed swords. I am using the same conditions with every gear set others are linking and the one I linked still comes out on top. For Horde without Heroic Presence or 2handed expertise talent the BiS is probably a little different (needs more hit and exp gear obviously).

    Or other Alliance races. Not all of them get the +exp and another one gets more +exp iirc.

    I've been tooling around and I can't seem to get a Blood Elf JC to break the 6300 mark. Maybe with some of the undiscovered gear though.

    The stuff you're posting is it with or without bloodlust ?

    Without. It doesn't include anything like Bloodlust/Heroism or Haste Potions that can only be used once a fight for a short duration. The rawr gear set ups I have posted do include imp versions of standard buffs you should have in every raid such as MotW, Totem of Wrath, etc. I am using it as a human so also included is Heroic Presence and Sword./Mace Expertise.

    I've combined a 6500 DPS setup for Bloodelf (Ench/JC) with the Earthshaper mace (because I think the slower speed is worth it). I can post it if anyone likes.

    This comes out to 6606 as a belf with JC/BS. (6551 if I empty the BS sockets). The set is hit capped and just shy of exp cap.

    NOTE: THIS IS NOT MEANT TO BE 100% BiS. IT'S JUST MEANT TO SATISFY THE ABOVE QUOTE.

    Head: [Warhelm of the Champion] (JC gem)
    Neck: [Insurmountable Fervor]
    Shoulder: [Conqueror's Aegis Shoulderplates]
    Back: [Drape of the Faceless General]
    Chest: [Conqueror's Aegis Battleplate]
    Wrists: [Wristbands of the Sentinel Huntress]
    Hands: [Conqueror's Aegis Gauntlets]
    Waists: [Soul-Devouring Cinch] (however, I'm not sure if this has actually dropped anywhere...)
    Legs: [Conqueror's Aegis Legplates] (JC gem)
    Feets: [Battlelord's Plate Boots] (JC gem)
    Ring1: [Sif's Promise]
    Ring2: [Godbane Signet]
    Trinket1: [Fury of the Five Flights]
    Trinket2: [Darkmoon Card: Greatness]
    Mainhand: [Earthshaper]
    Libram: [Deadly Gladiator's Libram of Fortitude]

    The actual BiS I can devise for belf JC/BS is the same as deathleech's list a few posts above, replacing:

    Waist: Soul-Devouring Cinch
    Feet: Boots of Living Scale

    Comes to 6654 DPS. 6650 without replacing the boots. The belt I chose seems to be a big upgrade, at least for someone lacking Exp from racials.

    Let's all ride the Gish gallop.

    Re: New BiS setup for Ret

    Got an all plate set up to 6423 and another to 6417. The 6417 means I have to upgrade fewer items. (Blood Elf JC)

    @Death, yep, I didn't have some buffs turned on. Thanks.
