PvP - Holy or Ret

I have heard the Burst from pala's has be nerfed some what. But by how much? has it made a dramatic effect on rets in arena?
What kind of combos are rets teaming up with?
Is Holy still as stong as it was last season?

Just wanted some advice from other as im deciding what to play in arena.

Ret is better than last season. Nerfed judgment damage - Buffed damage on everything else so it's a constant damage.

As for holy, they got hit with some nerfs but are still decent.

i found holy is better for pvp now than it was before the patch
if you go deep into prot you can put out good heals and take alot of damge
never really played ret so not sure about that.

In my opinion, holy is "better" because it`s more easy to comb and I like it more xD

But Ret is fine too and can aways get a high burst with nice surviability.

What I can tell you are some builds to start with and you choose what you like most.

As holy go with something like:

with glyphs: holy shock (must have) - seal of wisdom/light - turn evil/flash of light/beacon of light

This build allow you to survive/heal and deal a little more with kite.

As retri go with something like:

with glyphs: hammer of justice / divine storm - seal of blood - judgement

Will give you a nice burst and allow some suport on kitting and add resistence.

Those are not 100% usable... you can aways follow your own playstille or follow what you comp strenght/weakness are. When you finish choosing your pvp spec you can aways come back here to ask/share more info ;D

The glyphs you just said here are just not the good ones. Judgement is ok, but seal of blood ain't needed and divinestorm/hammer neither, having Glyph of the Turn Evil and Glyph of Salvation ( For the healer) to support.

Holy Shock, Flash of Light (will give you more mana back and increase your heals) and Salvation (2 minutes shield wall)

Light's grace isn't that usefull on 2v2 or 3v3, I would go for improved devo aura for extra healing, both auras improved are very powerfull for arenas.
Divine intelect is still a great skill for pvp imo.

ret for bgs cause its fun blowing people up
shock for arena
31 holy down to shock 5 in divinity 35 ret for repentance and jotw
add in engineering and youve got one hell of a 2v2 spec.
why? infinite mana
repent hammer cc train to assist dps with kills
one point in vengeance to give you some trash buffs to get dipselled
bad points
if shock is on cd healing requires casting this forces you to use aura mastery against silence interupt comps
aside from that you lose 3 percent crit from a holy prot build
but get back so much more

neither, go prot for healing.
Unkillable, biggest heals out of any spec, avengers shield silence/snare/damage for 8k.
