Hardest boss fight in wow?

dudes, i didnt hit 60 before tbc, and in TBC i didnt have chance to see SWP at all, so can someone tell me what was that big first nerf m'uru received, before which he was almost impossible?

also, whats the difference between 4hs 60 and nowadays, i heard they needed 8 tanks or so

I've stopped raiding with that guild (although I'm still in it). Letting an ungemmed/partially enchanted BM hunter with some Outland blues and an average iLvl of under 200 into a Naxx raid (9 man, we couldn't fill the last DPS until about halfway) is a complete joke, IMHO. We also had a Retardin with some tank gear on, who did under 1.5k DPS on bosses.

I've said I'll still do single encounter raids (i.e. EoE, OS10), but no more. I'm too annoyed with how they handle raids.

I wish people would stop saying Kil'jaedin was harder than M'uru.
It's so obvious you killed them pre-nerfed BUT M'URU WAS NERFED THREE TIMES FFS.

Pre-pre-pre nerfed, M'uru will go down in history as the hardest killable boss that WoW has ever seen.
4 guilds killed it.

The other contenders to this are -

4hm level 60 (but i guess most will agree they wasn't quite as hard)
C'Thun (although this was mathematically impossible to kill upon release)
The impossible version of Hodir (that Ensidia are the only guild to ever kill, but they used a world buff)
Heroic firefighter (although this is easier than M'uru imo)

AND THAT IS ALL.


None of this Kael'thas and Kil'jaedin crap please. You just make youself look like a noob for not even reaching the pre-pre-pre nerfed versions of the bosses.

yogg-saron without watchers imo is not easier than c'thun pre-nerf, as far as i know it hasn't been killed yet

Vanilla - 4 Horseman (I know some guilds stuck there for ages :P )
TBC - Muru Prepreprenerf (Think I attempted him for the first time after he got hotfixed with to interupt casts but still not nerfed with hp and such)
Wotlk - I do speak from 10 man perspective and from what I experienced hardest is Mimiron hard :P We only spent few hours on him but it was very challenging, requiring perfect gameplay and focus and also very enjoyable. I can't comment on Algalon or 1(0) watchers though.

Hodir hard mode was buffed after it was already killed.
It was buffed to beyond impossible. Not being able to be killed with 23 dpsers in the raid all in maxxed out gear.

Ensidia killed it using a World buff.
Blizzard quickly nerfed it.


That was the impossible version of Hodir.

I will not survive water elementalcharge + instant Freya DD as a clothie at freya + 3 and if this happens at the same time....screwed, nothing else.

Protip: Water elemental charge is interuptable.
