I was installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 yesterday. It can defend my PC to viruses, worms etc. without any other defender's help?

P.S.: Thanks for this helpful guide.

The best way to remove keyloggers is to make use of software that work in many ways to get rid of this hidden virus. It is quite easy to run software to remove keylogger. In order to make the most out of the software, it is imperative to run it at least once in a week. This is a must to keep a Trojan, like keylogger, at bay and to protect your data and necessary information from hackers. However, prior downloading any removal software makes sure you are shopping it from a reputed and authorized site. Else others can refill it with unwanted viruses, instead of cleaning it.

    it won't.

It's not because you paid an antivirus that you're not gonna get infected. In fact, most of the time, its the people who buy antivirus who gets infected the most.

Why ? Because paying for something makes you think it's better, and safer. So you're gonna take more risks, and not think about what you are doing on your computer.

Free antivirus are often as good as the others, sometimes better. The difference about getting viruses or not, isn't the antivirus, its the guy who's sitting in front of the computer.
People should get informed, and minimize risks. Someone informed could use his computer for months, even years without an antivirus and still having less chance of getting viruses than his neighbour who payed for his kaspersky ultimate version 9.0 of death.

    My 2 cents.

This is a great set of information. My computer has been lagging bad lately and it might be time to put in a scan.

Viruses seem really easy to avoid if you just stick to sites you trust or atleast don't derp download stuff, i run my computer without windows or 3rd party protection and have been ok for over a year without a problem, yet somehow my sister still blames me for getting viruses on the family computer *grumble grumble* "cause games like WoW give viruses" *grumble grumble*
i live by one motto! "lolwut?"

Been running for three or four years without a single virus or trojan. And generally people her age (60ish) manage to get their PC's filled with crap within months. Or weeks. Or days. Etc.

It's a matter of usage, not protection. (Not that there's no avast running on her pc, ofcourse )

    This is very true.
Antiviruses reduce the risks, but if you are not careful, you WILL eventually get infected.

What is everyone's opinion on CCleaner. I've been using it instead of other anti spyware/malware/virus software mainly because of win 7's programming. I mean, you have to click "yes install" to be able to get a virus using win 7 nowadays right? CCleaner keeps your registry clean and cleans up your cache, cookies, and sys tray.
