I was baffled for the longest time as to why a mob would heal themselves slightly after I hit them.
I recently discovered the Vindication tends to lower health pools by quite a lot....

12. You didn't notice there are only 10 facts
i thought they heal when there health goes down to a certain %
when vindication goes on they are still at 100% assuming you did no dmg but managed to apply
but this is a guess to when mobs heals
id like to add that would be making hammer of justice 10cd but only stun for .5 seconds be too Overpowered?
and change the glyph to add 2 extra seconds of stun but increase cd by 15 seconds
and of course change/remove the talents
maybe the talents will add duration to the stun?or something
no im not always gonna put in a lot of thought when i post
and not all my posts are serious/true
/facepalm

use hand of reckoning before you do any dmg. then he doesnt heal himself for that much :P
Don't you like... kill the mob before Vindication debuff runs out anyway?
Jaded and cynical bastard, plain and simple.

Yeah... in Northrend? Things die in the frame of 5 to 10 seconds by the hand of my ret pally. There is no chance they can push a heal in that short time.Originally Posted by Merander
On the old world content, maybe. I was in Outlands when 3.0.1 hit live, I don't know how it is nowadays. Well, unless the OP is talking about players. Which I have no real experience on, because I pvp with pve spec. I am so hardcore.

Allow me to explain since some don't seem to get this >_>.
Joe has 10K HP
Joe gets hit for 50% of his HP, So his bar looks something like
[|||||||| ]
Joe gets Vendication put on him, reducing his HP by (Let's pretend, I know it's not this) 25% of it's max.
Joe has the same HP, but it looks like this
[||||||||||||| ]
Because the max HP is less, the bar goes up because of the new max HP compared ot the Current HP is closer.

Hand of reckoning when starting a fight! :P
use search next time we got a hundred of those thread already...
I have not tested it, but reading blue posts/patch notes, Hand of Reckoning no longer deals damage to players and as such will not apply Vindication.Originally Posted by ElitehunterDS

Sorry but I assumed that just about everyone "pulled" with Hand of Reckoning. When leveling, I always did this to apply vindication and I knew how the debuff worked with the reduction of stats appearing as a heal. Upon hitting level 80, I respec'd and no longer have that talent. My reply was merely how this would apply to a level 80 paladin.
dont pvp! :POriginally Posted by Prentice

well i hope it is one because i cba to explain it for ElitehunterDS
85 Paladin | 80 Hunter | 80 Shaman | 83 Mage | 80 Rogue | 80 Deathknight | 80 Warlock | 80 Warrior | 80 Druid | 1 Priest
So, why does everyone keep saying they're healing? It just APPEARS to be healing, since its %age goes up, but it isn't actually healing... the reason to pull with hand of reckoning is baffling me ???
