So I just recently acquired my T8 Shoulders and T8.5 Legs. and I only have my t7.5 Shoulders, legs and chest.
My question is, which 2 set bonus should I use? The T8 or the T7 One?

The 2xt8 setbonus seems pretty nice, however the 2xt7 setbonus makes your DPSing a lot more easy..
Yea im going to.. But need to know for the time being..
stay 4t7 until you get 2 t8
since you have only 3t7, but 2 t8: go 2t7/2t8
stay this way until you get 4t8
should be pretty much the best way.
Anyone able to help me? :P Ive been testing it out and it seems the t8 bonus is nicer and I am not having problems refreshing rip.. but Im still not sure.. The hit rating loss would be too large if i get the t7.5 gloves.
Depends how skilled you think you are.
Yes rip will last longer with t7. No it wont be a be upgrade to DPS if you can keep rip up 95% of the time either way.
imo go with 2 T8 it reminds me of 2 set t4 which was used to DPS till level 80 or maybe two peices of t6.5 from sunwell, depends who you were.
You're memory's horrible then. The best druids used 2 peice teir 4 (helm and shoulders) then 4 peices of t6; waist, feet, wrists, and gloves. Then two peices of t 6.5 (sunwell loot) http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34397 & http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34188. This; gear wise, was the best set up. Then obviously the neck & back from sunwell and the 2 rings were Angelistias revenge and the crafted Hard Korium Band. Trinkets I can't even remember...I know Shard of contempt was one with either Berserkers call or Madness of the Betrayer as the other.Originally Posted by getefix
Anyone who wore 8 pieces of t6 over 6 pieces of t6 and 2 t4 almost always did less DPS.
His refering to the fact that he doesn't remember "t6.5" which is what you are calling sunwell loot. I always refered to t6 no matter where it came from as "t6" never "t6" for MH or BT and "t6.5" for sunwell. But thats just a difference in the way that you both refered to the loot.Originally Posted by Paskgotsheal

t6.5 is a wotlk term. if sunwell dropped gear of the same tier for the same slots but with better stats then i could understand it.Originally Posted by Paskgotsheal
i think dragonspine trophy was arguably one of the best trinkets as long as you kept the 2/4 t4. madness of the betrayer was the other trinket slot I believe, but there were so many other good options (warp spring coil, tsunami talisman)
my last post on this thread as it no longer has anything to do with OP's question.
DST was horribly itemized for ferals; we get little use from haste...The ZA one and then Shard of contempt were MUCH better even w/ 2pc t4. You have to remember we have a 1 sec swing timer and that means for every 1% haste we would only get a .01 second decrease in swing time. Haste was one of our worst stats and DST was about the 9th or 10th best trinket for us. The JC one, Romulo's poision vale, Bloodlust brooch and Tsunami Talisman were all calculated to be better then DST back @ 70.Originally Posted by getefix

Yeah, I'm sticking with 4pt T7.5 until I get another t8 piece of go with the gloves.
I just got Winter's Icy Embrace, which makes it appear as if my toon is shirtless(!) in addition to being a kickass chestpiece...
CoryEverson: lvl80 Death Knight (Lich King)
Can anyone confirm which is better?
2 T7.25 + 2 T8
or
4 T8
Haste was an amazing stat because OOC and 2/4T4 had a proc rate based on your swing timer. Now it's a useless stat. There's a bunch of posts at http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28830#comments about it's usefulness to a feral druid. Emmerald.net says that Dragonspine Trophy wasn't great back at 70, but they also say Berserker's Call is 4th best trinket at lvl 80.Originally Posted by Paskgotsheal
It's actually 2T7.5 + 2T8 VS 2T8 + 4T8Originally Posted by Tiger
I'm not a math guy but I would much prefer +8 secs on SR than +4 secs on Rip. Your SR's will be less reliant on you having 5CP's and you'll be able to keep 100% uptime on Rip easier while still weaving in a couple Ferocious Bites.
