    Which Furious weapon?

Starting to move towards decent ratings now, and am able to make my weapon upgrade when the servers start back up. Hoping for some thoughts from ye 2k+ disc priests out there as to which would be my better move...

Furious Gladiator's Gavel http://www.wowhead.com/?item=42353(getting the OH in a couple of weeks)
    or
    Furious Gladiator's Energy Staff http://www.wowhead.com/?item=42385

    http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...orn&n=bigslick
(ignore the unconventional pvp spec, was just toying with some things)

Also, aside from the egg, I also have the Spark of Hope trinket (+100'ish spirit, -42 mana per spell cast) and Eye of the Broodmother (87 crit, 125 SP when 5-stacked). Would one of these be a better option? Or even the WG haste disc?

    Thanks in advance!

TBH, I would go with neither of those weapons. I would go with the spellblade. Crit is better for a disc priest than mp5. So with that being said, get the Spell blade and use the Brood Mother trinket.

Bear in mind this is strictly for arena pvp purposes. While crit is immeasurably more valuable to a disc priest in PVE, PVP spec isn't optimized for crit (very difficult to stack effectively without totally gimping mana regen, and no Divine Aegis). I had initially started doing arena with more of the crit gear, but have found that since moving more and more towards gear supporting mana regen I have been more successful than with slightly higher crit.

Well I guess it comes down to how important spell power is in arena. I don't know myself really what's better for arena, but the staff vs MH+OH is an age old battle.

What it comes down to is the staff usually has more stats and the MH+OH usually has a more decent more chunk of spell power.

If you link the OH it might help a bit, only because I don't feel like looking it up lol, but I would say if you need more STA, INT, and resilience then go with the staff.

I guess it depends on your partner also. With a partner that has an ability to lock down or peel someone off of you, allowing you to drink, I would much rather have the crit then the low 14 mp5 the gavel gives.

    Re: Which Furious weapon?

I ended up going with the spellblade (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=42347) actually. I'm already sitting at around 25.5k w/ fort, and with almost 900 resilience can generally live through the initial bursts that come my way. Figured the MH/OH combo with more SP will help me to restore myself better than just pushing the peak health towards 28k. My partner is a DK, so his ability to peel is limited and dependant on what we're facing, so I do my best to be able to itemize for surviving a good while without his help.

As above, the blade is only a slight loss of MP5, and after tweaking a few things around I'm able to manage about 18% crit. Now to see where we can grind from here!

Also, just have to say, <3 Spark of Hope (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45703), best trinket ever for longevity!

Staff for style, that's why i got it. Plus it's cheaper than MH / OH even for the slight loss of stats, it lets you pick up armor faster.

    Re: Which Furious weapon?

My plan is now to go for http://www.wowhead.com/?item=44422 to get the awesome amount of hit so i don't need to put any hit gems anymore in my gear.
I want to have 5% hit. That would include deadly ring, this staff and was some 3rd item cant remember and chardev down.

Am i going the wrong way on this or something? Please throw some comments / advice. I aint so good in arena yeat
