Recommended Spell Power to Start raiding?

I was just inquiring about what the recommended spell power is to start raiding in wrath, as a holy paladin?

There are no required stats to start. Hit level 80 and then go to Naxx.

1800 unbuffed is more than enough.

If you get the Titansteel Guardian you can wear hunter gear and still have enough spell power

As a paladin, i'm mostly convinced that you could MT heal through naxx25, even with a majority of greens. Get some gear and do ulduar. Game's still too easy.

Unless you roll with under 1k Spell power, and have no points in Holy.

as low as possible, just convince someone to carry you.

The spellpower amount does not matter as much as a couple things..

Do not even bother showing up to a raid if you cannot spec correctly, if you are not a good healer, or if you are not a smart healer, if you do not have common sense and mess up while healing, you need to practice more before healing.

I do not want to sound rude but there are a lot of stupid people out there, but you are most likely not one of them.

However just remember one key rule..... Have fun with it =).

All t7 content done with 1900 unbuffed spell power. I used to have 33k mana, though.

SP is less of an issue, regen and cooldown/buff timing is much more important
The kind of things you just need to practice

Re: Recommended Spell Power to Start raiding?

2k healing will mostly end up as overhealing, you're better off cutting down your healing, and increasing your intellect and crit in order to optimise your mana regen.

Not saying you should go and run Ulduar with 1.2k spellpower and 40k buffed mana.. Well, you probably could.. But there's no point going out of your way, and sacrificing every stat just to reach the 2k mark.

There's also haste to consider for raw healing power, as well..

    Lvl 80 is enough.
