Hardmode and loots

Hello dear high end gamers and wow nerds,

I am a little confused on the loots that can be gained in hard mode. In a lot of the item databases some loots are supposed to drop only in hardmode, but if I ask around, people tell me that it is the same loot as in normal mode, just more of it.

Which version is true? Extra loot or more of normal loot?

All the normal loot is ilvl 219. 10-man hard mode armor is 226 and weapons are 232.

I don't think, that you got what he wants to know.

Hardmode is extra loot, afaik.
so you down a boss normal mode - you get loot from his possible loot table.
next ID you down a boss in hard mode - you get loot from his possible loot table PLUS loot from his hard mode loot table.

at least, this was the case with sartharion 1D/2D/3D.

Yep, bosses have their normal loot table and their hard mode table.

You kill a boss you get the same number off the normal table along with one piece from the hard mode loot.

But how does that work in conjuction with bosses that have different hardmodes, like Flameleviathan?

So, one tower still there, one additional "normal" loot
two towers still there, two additional "normal" loots
three towers still there, three additional "normal" loots,
four towers still there, three additional "normal" loots and one hardmode loot?

You also get 2 Emblems of Conquest in 10man Ulduar Hard mode fights, as opposed to the normal emblems of valor from 10man Ulduar.

Edit: I meant almost-hard mode fights, like Flame Lev with 2 towers up too

yes, you get better loot when completing hard modes.

Obvious is obvious Yes, you DO get MORE loot when completing hard modes, better.... well that's questionable depending on what doesn't need offspecing and DEing don't it

You'll still get conquest badges from lootleviathan 1 tower as well.

It doesn't seem to be every fight though. :\

Only got 1 badge from Thorims hard mode on 10 man. Sucked that night because I needed 2 badges for the t8.5 helm, he gave one. >.<

2x valor emblem

Every time you say Conq I think tier token and not badge, and it's just teasing me because we don't see enough Conq. So little paladins, priests, and warlocks. !!!!!! I can actually start on my ret set if it drops.

Doing hard modes every week in 10-man and getting conq badges is making everything so much nicer on top of getting basically double the valor badges from clearing every raid.

Yeah I'm glad the developers think in terms of badges 1 tower flame leviathan should be more rewarding than 3 elder freya
