Hit cap with 3 points in Affliction?

Yo! I was wondering what the hit cap is if I have my spec (3/13/55) with the 3 pts in affliction for the 3% hit. I have now 334 hit (12,73%) when I watch my stats, but is it counting the 3% of hit of the talent Suppression or not? So I would have like 12,73% + 3% = 15,73%, right? Or is it just counting in my stats then I would have as my stats say 12,73%? So I would like to know if I have too much hits, if I can remove some hit gems by hast gems (or should I put spells gems?)

    Link of my armory: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sh...=Guesswh%C3%B5

Here is my average misses on Emalon (died just 30 secs before he got killed):

Sorry for the screenshot, it's in french :/

    http://i43.tinypic.com/2n1uhw3.jpg (I know, fucking UI, I don't care I like it!)

And I had less hit at that moment due to my trinket Living flame (107hit), I had around 200hit or smth.

Also, about trinkets, since I am focusing hast (hast>crit!) what would be the best:

    with http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45148 ?

    At the moment I have:

    http://www.wowhead.com/?item=45148

    with this one http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40682

But I would like to replace this one http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40682 by the one of Maexxna, wouldnt it be better?

Sorry if I'm sucking a bit in english, just tell me if you didn't understand I'll try to explain better.

Always work backwards with hit rating.

    17% is hit cap.
17-3% = 14%. If you have a shadow priest or boomkin in the raid that isn't retarded, you can knock off another 3% for their debuff.

I always recommend going for 14% and keeping a few items on hand to boost it just incase.

Take another 1% off if you are alliance and have a spacegoat in your party.

The most important thing to remember is always keep old hit gear so if you don't have spriest/shaman/boomkin you can dig out that old Mark of the War Prisoner/Dying Curse/Plush Sash of Guzbah/Whatever to get you back to cap.

Ok, at the moment then I still don't have my hit cap but I see that I don't do that much misses, is it really worthing to reach that cap?

Yes, it's worth it. You won't miss very many spells miss, but 1 missed Conflagrate or Immolate can cripple your DPS.
I'm your maker, not thy saviour.

Re: Hit cap with 3 points in Affliction?

Lets say you do nothing but spam Shadow Bolt, and for sake of argument it does 10,000 average damage per cast and takes 2s to cast. 5000 dps.
    2% miss = 2 casts in 100.

If you cast 100 shadow bolts, and two miss, thats 200 seconds.
    (98 x 10,000 damage) / 200 = 4900 dps.

So you only lost 100 dps, no big deal right?

What if you miss Immolate? Boom, incinerates do less damage.
What if you miss Conflag? Boom, no Aftermath proc chance at all and Backdraft doesn't fire. 20% haste rating! AND its on cooldown!

Also, think about it this way. 2% hit is 53 hit rating. To get 100dps from spell power you need closer to 70 spell power. Point for point, hit rating is the better investment.

missing an immolate isnt a big deal because you cna just recast, but when your affliciton missing haunt will ruin your dps because youll have to wait 8 seconds without haunt debuff up.

To answer the thread title question - it's 26.23 hit rating per 1% and no, talents that increase hit rating are not calculated into the tooltips %. 446 hit rating to cap with no talents or outside buffs/debuffs. 368 hit rating with 3/3 Sup. Personally I recommend always capping your hit rating without any outside buffs. It's not that hard to reach the cap and you shouldn't rely on others to bring your stats to a place they need to be.

The Shadow Priest or Boomkin could easily die so there goes 3% hit.
