Re: what does you guild use for loot?

Low ammount dkp rewarded for being ready/flasked/buffed inside and ready to pull at raid start.
Low ammount dkp rewarded for killing a boss.
Low ammount of dkp rewarded for giving out flasks/food.
Big ammount of dkp rewarded for killing a boss the first time.
Big ammount of dkp rewarded being the last alive on a boss that goes down (yes this have happened before.
Major ammount of dkp rewarded at raid ending.

You whisper the Loot Master with your bid, wait 40 sec and if no one have bidded more than you, you win.
Takes a while to get used to but after a few raids you learn what the others are likely going to bid for the item.

Took me about 1-2 months to gain the same ammount of dkp as our guildmaster thats been around since MC.
    Attendance ftw^^

    Why is that?

For most of the classes, 4 pieces of T8.5 are BiS. Why in the world I wound want to get a worse gear for same amount of time and effort? Non tier pieces are insta shards.

Hah, yes, I do. Merged up/became Avarice didn't they? I didn't pay too much attention to PvE in BC. >.>

I wouldn't really say dead. Going about just as strong, if you can say that, as it was in BC. Very few guilds Ally/Horde side even doing what you could call progression. Only one on the server has kill Yogg, so no different from what Illidan was with CoA. >.<

I saw up to Teron and then got bored with PvE!!

As for PvP, unno. Vazaras started playing again recently. There's a few high rated people on the server, not too many though.

Common sense goes a LOONG way.. if your raid doesn't have that, loot council is great.
However, if your officers don't have any common sense either.. you're screwed.

    1: /roll
2: /point /laugh at the guy who got the lowest.
    3: Sing a happy song.

    Then we move on.

    Common sense, mostly
    Worst equiped main spec first
rand / haggle worst equiped second spec then
    testing after that
    dusting the remaining stuff

    BUT
We are a (getting bigger) family guild. The kind of family that put the fun in disfunctionnal, but a family nonetheless.
We also point and laugh a lot. maniacly.

Loot council + attendence + performance is how I feel.

Re: what does you guild use for loot?

    DKP.

However unfair people say it is, it's it in fact the fairest. Rewards your attendance and skill (extra points for HardModes and first guild kills ) and punishes your fail (dying carelessly).

10dkp per attendance (everybody that is present at 20:30 gets 10dkp, even if people aren't taken into the raid that night ).
    5dkp per boss kill.
15dkp per new boss kill (we've cleared it all though )
    15dkp per HardMode.
-2dkp for starting a fight and forgetting to eat/flask
-10dkp per fail (This isn't present on every fight as it is hard to tell who fails, but for example people that fail on Thorim or Mimiron p2 when he spins and such).

    Item bid starts at 50dkp.
25 for offspec if no one needs.
Whisp officer with your bid. Highest wins.
We chose not to do it the "normal" way which is you link your bid in the /raid like in an auction and then bid higher and higher for the simple reason that it makes us lose a lot of time (3loots per boss x14 is a LOT of time wasted ). It is slightly bad as you might put 250dkp on something that only you needed, but then again you have to be a little smart and look at who's in the raid.

New comers aren't too disavantaged as dpk is spent quite quickly, and most of us are under or around 200dkp (so that's not even a week of raiding to catch every up ).
Also permits people that only need a couple of items to go ALL OUT when it falls to assure they have it.
