To change the color of your cat/bear form you have to change your Taurens skin tone, right? So I can't have an all white Tauren, but have an all black bear form?

Correct. You're shape shifting, not dying your fur/skin/hair.

The closest you'll be able to achieve is the right hand, 3rd from the top, color combo. (Grey or grey/white Tauren, black/blue Bear with white face)

Yeah i mean it's completely reasonable, though I got lucky and my current color is the color I want my bear/cat to be =)

It could've been worse, at least most of your tauren-fur is already covered by your armor and you get three skintones to make them resemble the "old you" as much as possible

Aye I have the same problem, (well once I recommence wow), I really like the brown/yellow tauren fur, but not too keen on the yellow cat/bear. Guess I'll just have to go for the Red-Brown fur.

Also would have been cool if we could mix and match (eg white bear + black cat).

What? Tauren hair color is completely determined by skin color (and doesn't really have much variation other than dark brown vs. black, anyway).
