Most americans think europe is a "state" and will randomly point at a spot on the world map claiming they know where it is.
And not only that, half of them don't even know where their own state is.

Ask them to point out france, or holland, germany, they won't know where it is or what language they speak. They have a tendency to be ignorant of the outside, and want to feel superior and big, it's why it grates them so much when the EU get a world first kill in a "game". It's sort of funny in a way, as the two continents are so competitive about it.

Also, the dutch wear klomps and all grow tullips, and live in mills. It's like a fairytale here ;D

I'm sorry for that, some friends and I actually took a bunch of those along to walk around in during a vacation to the US and I do believe a whole city is now convinced this is The Truth. Dutch people wear wooden shoes... :P
